Also as you get to know the game you get faster and faster at levelling. If a hunter was your first character and a druid is your 2nd, I would guess your druid ends up levelling a lot faster because you dick around a lot less getting lost and exploring.
Hey there. I've been out of the 2+2 posting scene for a while, partly due to being very much into the WoW scene as of late. Over the past year or so I've been playing quite a bit, and now have five level 70 characters on a pvp realm; a priest, a shaman, a druid, a paladin, and a mage.
Based on my experience, there is a pretty minor difference between the various classes in terms of leveling speed; particularly with the (relatively) recent changes to make 1-60 exp faster and make quests reward more experience, as well as the elimination of lots of elite mobs in various parts of the questing world.
My fastest character to level so far has been my mage; who reached 70 in about 6.5 days played, leveling using primarily a frost spec. Second fastest was my druid, who took about 7.5 days played to 70, primarily using a feral spec. My paladin, leveled using ret. spec took about 9 days, pretty similar to my enhancement shaman. Finally, my priest took about 12 days to level, but he was my first character so much of that time was spent exploring and running old world instances.
I'd be more than happy to offer any specific help regarding leveling, but overall my advice would be to quest, quest and more quest...and to stay away from grouping and running ANY instances before Outland (lvl 58).
If anyone else plays on Kil'Jaeden I'd love to hear from ya, btw =)
