is it your ranged or melee that are getting hit most?

When we were first doing that boss on normal mode all the ranged made a smiley face at the entrance-side of the room. However, in heroic mode this means that any time Putricide throws Goo at the ranged they would first take a direct line to the melee, confusing the **** out of everyone. So we had the ranged move some to the right, towards the window that he throws the goo out of. That way it's completely obvious what group the goo is heading for.
If it's your melee getting hit, I can't help you since I was always ranged on that fight.

the guild leader made it a requirement that everyone get AVR and AVR encounters before the raid, and checked to see that everyone had it. I think the reason we were wiping was because of tunnel vision or people focusing too much on their rotation and not enough on the goos. Most people wouldn't move at all until someone called it out on vent and that shows me that they're not very aware or not really paying attention. The other problem we were having was if there was a goo right on top of a spore, especially in the melee. Oftentimes the person with the spore didn't move fast enough and all the melee got hit, which is most certainly a wipe.

Also, my guild only killed lich king 2 weeks ago, so the fight is not a joke, like I imagine it will be when people get enough heroic gear. The guild I'm in can be pretty frustrating sometimes because its like a mix of hardcores and casuals. For example the druid tank's girlfriend is a enh shammy and has the highest GS in the guild but didn't break 9k dps on any attempt last night. Also the guild has been around for a long time and they seem to give preferential treatment to the older members. For example a rogue that hasn't been on for months comes back and automatically gets a raid spot and they tell me that I'm going to have to sit out every other raid because he's back, despite him having worse gear and dps. Oh yeah, and he gets to raid everyday.

I think it is the 10th time I have said the same thing in this thread.

Find another guild.

Seriously, there are SO many guilds that need recruits - now, and in 2 months to prepare for cata.

Seriously, it's the down time before an expansion. Guilds are frantic to find people atm.

The ability to show up for raids cannot be overestimated.

currently progressing with my 10 man raid guild, at lich king now and got him down to phase 5, about 35%... fun fight indeed i think we'll get him down tonight, phase 3 is by far the hardest

Saw LK10 for the first time today. Really fun fight -- I like it a lot as well.

LK and Yogg are definitely up there as my two favourite fights of all time.

Yeah phase 3 and 4 are basically the fight. 1,2, and 5 are cake-walks, you'll have him down in no time.

hard to say if its just because the zones are newer, but Ulduar and ICC are some of the best instances ever made imo. Naxx get scrapped on because of what it became but it was unbelievable too. I think Uld would get my vote for favorite instance

yes, it took us a while to nail down phase 3 but 90% of the time we have no problems whatsoever

the 10% well: it's a bit RNG but can happen: one healer gets trapped in a valkyr, while another healer needs to move from defile cloud, and ofc right at that time infest kicks in, this is where we have some problems ( we also don't have a active priest so infest is signifcantly harder for us, healing setup is holy pal + shaman + druid)

Just a few minor things.

I would suggest not gemming for those socket bonuses like 5sp and 3mp5 etc. Use your JC gems for 34 haste instead of sp.

Try to get your 4pc t10 asap, the chained heal proc ends up adding about 10% to your total healing output, it's really sick. I would put this as the highest priority upgrade for you right now.

I don't necessarily agree with your glyph of water mastery, but since you don't have any regen trinkets, you're probably making the right choice there.

Here's my shaman if you need some ideas about gemming and such, I haven't played in a few weeks, but I think her gear was pretty well optimized. (Ignore the gemming in the boots, I got those on my last day and wanted to wear them for the rest of the instance we were in and those where the only gems I had in my bag. Same with the cape, I think I got that in my last week and couldn't have cared less about enchanting it at the time)

thx for all the advice, yes I agree on the JC gems that need to be haste instead of spellpower. I might agree on ignoring the gem bonuses but I recently regemmed all of my gear and costed me quite some gold.

Basically 2 months ago when I came back to wow from a break i had totally wrong gemming (im talking +20 int gems, SP + int gems, SP +MP5 gems,... you get the point), then when i noticed i did never go oom in fights switched to full haste, never really bothered to get the other design for the haste JCer gem but i'll do that now.

I am working on the chest and will buy it ASAP (39/95 badges atm), you might also notice my chest still has the "old school" gemming

and also really nice shaman mate, very good gear (jealous of your solace trinket!)

and yeah salty took some time but overall got lucky on rare catches and won stv contest after 3 months trying every week.

you're welcome. That was actually my alt, but I took a lot of pride in her. My first toon ever was a horde shaman and it is one of my favourite classes.

I got salty on my hunter about a year ago, it had the perfect ring with my toon's name I went to stv one week and it was a nightmare, I didn't even bother to fish I just watched how it all went down. After that week, I realized that I needed an edge to win and I wasn't planning on trying to do it the fair way every week until I did. So I took a 25 man raid group to STV with me and we griefed the **** out of the island.. I had a 5-man group that served as my personal escort, and the rest of the guys scoured the island for horde and also wrote their mammoth mounts on top of alliance pools so they couldn't find their lure. It was one of the funnest days I have ever had playing wow

yeah, a lot of people do it the same way as you did, since i wasn't in a guild at the time and hardly friends online i did it the hard way, after your ~12th attempt you really begin to notice how the expertise and knowledge you have gives quite a good edge to other fishermen.

My mate plays the best resto shaman on my server and he says haste over everything, no matter what. SP is bad because you overheal on every spell anyway, mp5 and int are obviously bad because you can't ever go oom.

After he had 4pt10 he bought the melee frost badges trinket and used it over a heroic solace.

That is how good haste is for shamans.

There is a ridiculous amount of haste needed to reach the chain heal/healing wave cap, so there is never an issue with having too much haste.

I have a level 12 Shaman that I just started playing again recently. He sat at 8 with full rested for about 3 months. I took the BoA leather chest that I gave to my roge and put it on my shaman, I'll probably give him the cloth shoulders from my priest as well and try to level him as resto.
