Forgot to list the "cancel Amazon order" step lol. I suppose buying a key for $1 is worthwhile if Amazon doesn't work in your country or something.

Summit used to be my fav streamer until I finally realized that he's an entitled whiny ass little kid. He steals **** from other streamers all the time.

If things aren't going his way he's cries about it and thinks everyone should bow down to him.

I still watch him every once in a while for a few mins but his shtick is getting tiresome.

PC only or will it work on PS4? Missed out on the promo. Game sounds awesome but also something I wouldn't be able to play enough to fully enjoy.

I'm out of codes now but if you find one you can use it for whichever platform you want.

Always wanted to shoot someone in MSG. Would've been better if it was one of the Knicks, but this will have to do.

Seems like a lot of people pissed about getting locked out of the beta.

I purchased and started DL this morning(forgot to do so earlier) on PS4. Have 4 hours to go. Guess I won't be able to get in? Will report back.

Been watching the streams in spots. Seems like a really great environment but also seems repetitive. Maybe that's because it's just a beta and not the full game, and later missions are more interesting.

Not overly impressed w/ the beta so far. Other than the MSG mission none of them seem unique in any way at all. The Dark zone is a complete mess and the whole having to survive waiting for extraction in order to take out any loot you find there has ALREADY gotten old.

Man, I'm having a lot of fun. The tension is what makes the extractions great. Tons of potential as long as they keep content coming.

Yeah after playing for a couple hours I went ahead and pre-ordered. Loving it so far.

EDIT: Also I've been watching various streams and they all have mentioned how they haven't found a weapon skin and how rare they are. Literally the first thing that dropped in game for me was a skin. 100 steps out of Camp Hudson and a civilian asks for a medpack so I give him one and he drops a skin. Just a plain Coyote Tan skin but still.

Mostly impressed.

It's an unusual mix of Destiny and Watch_Dogs - which is surprising, since this has nothing to do with the studio that made that. Like, it may as well be Watch_Dogs 2 when you're on your own, wandering around NYC completing side quests, viewing echoes and killing low level mobs in random encounters. Then it transitions smootly with a short load for matchmaking in to a full on Destiny Strike at the MSG Medical Center - even down to the grinding it on hard for better loot just like Sepiks prime hard mode in Destiny Beta!

It works well, and it suggests there are 30(?!) of these "strikes"? (3 wings * 10 missions) If so, that's epic - and the levelling / loot grind hook loop is rock solid. I am much happier now I've obtained a solid blue Marksman rifle (scout rifle) with a scope.

Darkzone is great, although how long it'll last I'm not so sure. Only played solo so far, and a successful extraction is a hella tense affair.

All in all, pretty sure this is likely a very solid PVE Destiny-alike to play and pass the time while there's no real Destiny to be played. The PVP I am not so sure. It's good, no doubt - but it isn't the usual TDM / Control and isn't likely to fill that gap.

edit: lol I dropped a weapon skin super early on also haven't seen another on a random yet! Mine is bright blue lol

They just better have these networking issues worked out by release. It was brutal last night. The lag was unbearable and my buddy and I were getting delta errors every few minutes.

Guessing pc are having problems with beta? my bro had a code and they can't get him in till tonight or something? been fine for xbox, dark zone is very tense when extracting, doing it alone is so hard... my favourite part of the game atm is being in the dark zone and attacking other people.

Found one skin randomly yesterday see through green or something, very meh. Definitely going to get this game though tom clancy games have grown on me a lot since rb6 siege

Looks like 30% off pre-orders at GreenManGaming, FYI. Game sounds really fun but probably my first gaming casualty of expecting a baby soon as I can't imagine being able to play and enjoy multiplayer games while tending to a newborn.

I've got an 8 week old, so I hear ya. I get about an hour a day (when my wife and baby go to sleep) to play, but often times I just pass out on the couch. I also benefit greatly from my wife not working, so I sleep on a different floor and she gets to deal with the baby at night. It's getting better, which is good timing for this release.

I have a 1 and 2 year old Jiggy, so yeah, playing games while you have a baby is tough but you just gotta organize around your schedule. Time for their afternoon 3 hour nap? Fire up the PS4. Their schedule dictates your schedule.

So I went preorder on PS Store from console, then seach for beta specifically and download, and it took 18 hours but when I woke up this morning it's working. So I'm in.

I don't have many friends on PSN my name is 'twiniskilling' so feel free to add me and just add 2+2 in the message or something so I know who it is.

Just finished the MSG mission alone by myself and it sadly took a few tries. I haven't gamed on consoles in a long time besides FIFA or some Madden and Witcher so that's my skill level.

Is it as bullet sponge'y as the PC gamer early release video showed? Do location hits on enemies have any effect (like, shooting them in the leg makes them fall over)?

Probably just me, but I don't mind games that require 20 shots to kill someone, but only when they're more 'fantasy' - like Borderlands or Destiny. Games that make the effort to add realistic weaponry should try to add realistic damage.

Sponginess It depends a lot on levels.

First run through MSG on normal (4) with basic starter gear was a little, but not very spongy. Certainly made me think "This isn't as spongy as I was expecting". Red health enemies drop in a few headshots, purples half a clip (less for headshots), the yellow boss at the end was quite a sponge.

Tied it under levelled on Hard (8) when I was a 6 - extreme sponginess! There are no red bars any more, all purples - which take a few clips to kill. Yellows throughout the level were very spongy, and the boss was ridiculous with purples everywhere the boss taking stupid amounts of damage - me having to retreat back to refill my 600 ammo (twice!) on our successful run!

Later, as a level 7 with a powerful-ish marksman rifle, it will one-hit kill lower level 4 or 5 purples with a headshot

I soloed MSG on hard at level 4. After dying a couple times in the first big room, mainly due to having to keep rolling out of grenades and the enemies pushing closer and closer to me, I switched to a marksman rifle and had no trouble killing guys with about ~3 shots.

Using a green assault rifle I find it takes about a clip and a half to take down armored enemies around my level, assuming you can hit them with the majority of the bullets. Boss enemies are more spongy and can take a couple clips. The big Cleaner guy in the Darkzone subway can take a bunch of clips or you shoot his tank with a couple bullets and it'll explode doing a ton of damage to him. Generally its the armor that makes enemies spongy, once armor is down I don't think I've seen an enemy that takes more then half a clip to kill. Always go for headshots.

Definitely digging the beta. I'm a hardcore FPS guy but this does the trick for me as well. I like it quite a bit. Did all the missions and played in the dark zone for a few hours. Mechanics may take some getting used to after 18 months of daily Destiny.
The multiplayer aspect is pretty cool. Looking forward to March 8th
