Agreed, there will be plenty of violence but the odds of seeing a body crucified upside down at any point is slim.

A few years ago they pissed off peopel by saying there weren't gonna be any pentagrams in the game, but eventually relented, there are a few small ones here and there, whereas D2 they were all over the damn place.

There's a lot of parents out there who don't care how much violence is in their kids video games but if they see a pentagram OMG they are trying to turn my kid into a devil worshipper!

You don't either then? If that is really your argument how can you claim that the game will become more diablo-like as we go along? I am hoping that things do get "darker," but I've seen nothing so far that would lead me to believe that. Basing predictions off of what we've seen so far seems much more logical than just having faith.

from what I've played out of the beta it seems gory and dark enough, don't see much to complain about

I just logged onto my US bnet account that I created to improve chances of getting into beta and found it had d3 beta. Unfortunately for me I just got into law school and moved away from home where my computer is and all I got is this ****ty laptop . (No I won't lend you my account)

hey, can people still play the beta? i remember a while back i was trying to get a key and obviously never received one. is there a way for me to try out the game now?

also: what is the general consensus of the game so far from the beta? do you guys like it? is it going to be as good as the other 2?

nah, it's not bad really. You don't get much out of the beta though.

I'm inclined to believe the "leaked" date. Jay Wilson tweeted that he couldn't confirm or deny it, which is totally not what they usually say. There have been many supposed leaked dates for their games and every time they say somehting along hte lines of "retailors are just speculating, there is no release date, blah blah"

Does seem like short notice though, if that's the actual release date we'll definitely know soon enough.

my fiance bought me the collectors edition for christmas. Now i'm not a huge gamer, but wtf is up with being able to buy a CE edition 5 months before the game actually comes out. It probably is totally std but it just seems like such a brutal teese.

Just updated D3 today. I haven't played it for a couple of weeks after I found out there wasn't much more to the game than what I had already done.

The game seems a lot different now. From what I read the HP of monsters was increased. Some of the UI was changed. Seems like there are a lot more packs of monsters and that there is a decrease in the drops. So far I like the feel of it.

Saw the AH for the first time. Are prices incredibly overinflated or is that normal? 2H Sword going for 7500? Rare 2H Sword going for 25k?

I was just playing with the AH and put up a low blue item for like 15g thinking "why would anyone want to spend 100g when they can just get one of these on their own?" Also, just to try the AH and see what would happen.

Anyways, have you guys noticed any big changes?
