I think I have radiant and flawless. I thought it was cheaper to buy from AH though than make it until u have a crap load of flawless squares lying around.

Radiant Stars were about 22m yesterday on AH. F squares were up to 2k.
AH fixes are great, but I don't think they addressed not being able to search for +4-8 dmg (or w/e) modifier which is a huge omission.
Is that what this is?
Quote:
"Minimum Damage" has been replaced with "Average Damage" as a searchable stat
Bonus damage is calculated as the Average Damage: (Min Damage + Max Damage) / 2
For example, searching for a Bonus Damage of 12 will find an item with 10-14 damage, 12 minimum damage, or 24 maximum damage
Yeah, doing math in your head is the ****ing worst.
Tell me how to calculate Crit Hit, Crit Dmg, and Atk Speed, and Vitality, in comparison to the gear that I currently hold, along with min/max damage values.
Create a dps index formula based on the rest of your gear. Then calculate the dps index of the item you're replacing and you have a rough comparison that works plenty well. Exact same method can be used for EHP. But, you're right, this is so much work and it's a game. No reason anyone should have to work for an edge in a game. In fact, there should be no edges in games.
No, I shouldn't have to. It's a pain in the ass. Like I said a few posts ago, I'm not lazy about it, it's just a huge inconvenience.
When you're spending 10mil per item when all you have is 10mil, it's a huge decision to dump everything you have into a piece of gear that you have no idea if it's going to help you or not.
Seeing the tooltips in the AH should have been standard. I'm baffled that it's not there. Creating or finding an external spreadsheet and having to alt-tab 200 times sucks. All you end up doing is spending hours and hours at the AH rather than playing.
I am pretty excited about the changes. I am a little torn on the ruby in the help though. I just assumed that as I gained 5-6 levels of paragon, I would slowly start to switch out my MF gear. If I switch to a ruby in my helm, I lose 23% right off the top. That will take me quite a while to recoup via paragon. It seems pointless to try and buy another helm just for 8 levels of paragon, but maybe that is the thing to do.
What I am most excited about is finding that awesome legendary that will force me to change a character around just for that one item. That will be a lot of fun. Hopefully I am able to find that item...
Yeah, I'm down. I'm hesitant to commit to too much though as I need to be doing more poker grinding. But who am I kidding? It seems like the paragon system + cooler items will suck me in for a while.
Yeah, doing math in your head is the ****ing worst.
give me a ****ing break. its easy for a lot of items, but as IFX said when you factor in crit chance/crit damage/attack speed/min-max dmg its impossible to do in your head.
I'm sorry I went overboard with my sarcasm but it's definitely not impossible to get a good rough estimate of the dps contribution of an item. Anyway, the comparison calculator that d3 uses in game isn't actually good, it doesn't take into account set bonuses lost and gained.
I work in a field that requires a substantial amount of math/simulation on a daily basis and I agree with IFX, I don't play games to sit around estimating DPS and market value, I just want to be able to tell when an item is good and to kill ****. The idea that people should be expected to make/use 3rd party calculators just to know what is going on in a game is absurd.
