Yep, it's true. But we're here now and obviously they're not resetting the game, so I think the decision to nerf inferno is bad. If anything, they should've made it harder.

NOBODY has even near perfect items in every slot, yet there's already people who are overgeared for all the content.

problem is no matter how geared a barb or monk is you simply cant tank mobs that hit 60% harder than right now, at least with some affixes. kiting barbs =(

i think any act is beatable if you play a wizard, have enough dps to avoid an enrage timer and are willing to skip some of the ridiculous ELIte combos

Agreed, Wizard feels like ridiculosly strong solo class so far. I have absolutely POS gear on my Wizard and inferno act 2 feels quite easy, my DH has significantly better gear and I'd say it's worse for soloing. And obviously DH is also way above average class for soloing.

Only downside of Wizard is that it seems (at least with hydra builds) there's some elite packs you just have to skip, especially when you don't have a lot of kiting space. Like fast invulnerable firechain vortex, good luck killing that when you can't even aim your main damage ability at the right guy. For DH invulnerable is actually quite a good affix, you'll just be spamming elemental arrows like you would anyway, doesn't make much difference.

I wouldn't play with people who have %life on their helm instead of MF

Unless they're melee and we're trying to do quests. Seriously, it'd be ******ed for glass cannon builds to ever use the socket for %life. "yeah, my DH just got hit for only 400% of my max hp instead of 500%!"

why play with other people and average out your MF when you can have a delightful conversation with a templar who adds 15-20% MF to you? :P

I have almost 0 mf on my main gear, I just have a separate cheapo mf set. Did they nerf switching to mf to finish off kills though?

bidding was at like 13m when seller says he has a guy in reserve if it doesnt reach his hidden initial bet.

so another guy bets 13.5 I go 15m with a minute left to the auction.

seller says the hidden bet was 20m and we have to go above that in the next few seconds if we want to win

i say 21m 30 secs later. he says he doesnt know what to do cause blablabla he wasnt supposed to say other guy was offering 20m

so i add him and say whatever im buying it for 22 now last offer or goodbye

he says other guy now offers 23m

I've been telling a couple people and I still feel like my point hasn't gotten across, but it seems like many people agree.

There is a HUGE difference between playing a DH/Wiz who can dish out 30k+ dps and kite compared to a 10-12k dps melee class that can't kite and gets hit for an insane amount of damage in melee range.

The trade-off is that DH/Wiz are super soft, but kiting isn't all that technically difficult. It's a part of perfecting the art of playing that class. Being able to do 3-5x+ the amount of damage to mobs that don't scale makes the game easier for higher dps classes.

If you don't like kiting with a DH/Wiz, play a melee class for awhile and see how much it sucks to be irrelevant in the later parts of the game.

I think I'm switching to my Wizard full-time. Jackitos and I don't do too bad on our Siege runs, having a combined 80k+ dps. I love my Barb and I love playing him on Butcher runs, but being not able to fight the elites around Siege with my Barb to being able to do Siege with my Wizard is just an extreme acceleration that probably wouldn't happen any other way than to spend several million gold on each piece of gear. I can tank Siege just fine when you get in the right spot, but I also don't have any trouble with my Wizard.

I think Blizzard realizes how ridiculous it is for melee classes in Inferno and they are just trying to alleviate that pain. It's not really directed at caster classes as it is towards melee classes.

Barbs are going to be too strong combined with monk mantras. Nerf monks to compensate.

When I play my wiz I never get hit by vortex unless I'm face tanking on hell.

If you stay really far (edge of vision) then they will never cast vortex because they are out of range.
