Weapon Upgrade trees coming. They specifically showed Fatebringer going from 300 to 365, so now I really need a Fatebringer lol.

That's about my thoughts too at the moment.

At first was pretty gutted - blind-running new raid with the 2p2 crew is up there with the best gaming ever had. It's a shame it won't happen with this DLC.

BUT - Bungie think "The Arena" is good enough to take center stage instead of a new raid. It could be absolutely amazing. We have little details for now, most speculate at some sort of horde mode. There have been some superb horde-type games, but one with the gunplay / teamwork of Destiny? potential for epic is there for sure.

There's also an interesting line in that update: Who knows when this will be, first guess is with the "Comet" expansion in Sept. But really we don't know at all! It could well be dropped randomly on us at some point in the large time between HoW and Comet, I wouldn't be surprised. They have to have noticed the serious dropoff in players recently, and maybe plan to manage the gap better. Perhaps the HoW is delayed because the new raid just isn't "good" yet, and now they can delay no more? Rather than put out another Crota's End they want to top Vault of Glass? Wishful thinking maybe...

It'd be nice if they re-scaled VOG and CE to add 34 and 35 or whatever the new caps are.

I'm also pretty gutted, first reaction was that I am basically done with the game.

Even though Crota's end wasn't that fun with all the glitches and the general touchyness of the gameplay. That first night playing through blind and having to figure out the puzzles was one of the absolute best and most unique gaming experiences I ever had.

I have no regrets to having purchased a ps4 for this game.

I think at this point Destiny has run its course. Solving the bridge with a team of 6 blind was just insane fun, and that type of puzzle/teamwork/FPS gameplay has tremendous potential. I think in a year or two the next "Destiny" is going to come out from a different producer and is going to take all of the things that could have made Destiny into one of the greatest games ever, and succeed in some of the places that destiny failed.

After those 2 raids of 6 people, I am really not anywhere as close to excited about 3 man modes right now, don't see that changing even if it is awesome.

It is hard to think at the end of the day Destiny isn't being run from a purely capitalist mentality. Only a fraction of players were participating in the raids, and they must have saw the numbers drop, so they focused on getting them back up. It totally makes sense, but Destiny is doing the opposite of WoW. Destiny is all about the casuals and the players who will make them the most $$ and WoW was all about the hardcore players. There is definitely a balance between them, and the next "Destiny" has me very hopeful.

Maybe Destiny 2 will be that game, we'll see.

Another awesome time I had was when they patched the templar and I spent an entire Saturday morning getting stoned and running people through it who were on LFG and failing because they had only ever done cheese.

The raids have been by far the most fun I have had in this game, even though I play tons and tons of PVP, they are really a great time.

I think it's quite obvious the plan was to deliver a new raid with HoW, but plan has changed now. For better or worse, idk - I will reserve judgement until it drops. paid for it already anyhow lol. If it takes until September "Comet" release for our next good 6-person raid, for sure that's an unfortunately long time but I'll certainly play it when it comes.

I think it's unlikely another dev will make "a superior Destiny", though I don't doubt many several will try.

Glad I didn't buy the Expansion Pass, don't play this game anymore but was going to buy the 2nd Expansion to check out the raid. Can't imagine the Arena / story (lol) will be worth another $20. If they'll announce any time soon the raid will be included in the HoW expansion I might have to get it tho.

Eh, if you have fun for 2 hours with the expansion, the $20 is worth it

Don't get me wrong I don't mind the nightfall and like the challenge...I just also liked the 6 man craziness that happens in the raids. I don't play pvp so the more pve type stuff the better. We shall see what happens when it comes out, hopefully they have enough good content.

New update just hit and everyone jumps on it, about 6 GB so this is just a matter of hours / days / weeks ...
