Played some on my level 24 warlock and then switched to my level 20 hunter, had a message in the tower and suddenly received a legendary auto rifle?! Didn't do any strikes or whatever yet, has anyone had that yet?

Some jerkoff just tried to punk me on a Warsat event by jumping in for 1 second at the start and then taking off. He was watching to see if I would do the event for him and I was all like BUTNAHHHHHHHHHHHH. Enjoy your bronze event, ****bag.

lolz. I've never even had a bronze event. I had a day last week where I was just off my game and had 2 silver events, but never a bronze.

Didn't Bungie say we were getting gifts this month?

You sure its not a Cryptarch or Daily gift?

Was definitely not Cryptarch nor daily, clicked it away too fast though. I do recall it said "lost item".

Edit: Checked Bungie forums and seems indeed to be from a "secret benefactor". I'll take it.

Thanks again for the crota add. That was the first full run I have done on it and had a blast.

I still need 2x weeklies and 1 nightfall on my 31 hunter and will be available probably around 600-630ish CST in between bounty stuff.

Recap of last night:

So that was my first full run (outside of the one middle stage cheese spot) of Crota and I was definitely the low level at 29 Warlock. I think I held my own though pretty well including being one of the guys who did make it through that first part. I had no idea really which directions to go as normally the only other couple of times I did it we had one 31 warlock who can do it solo and had us just wait at the beginning while he ran it lol.

2 very cool moments
- I died in the middle are when rgdts and another guy or two who were still alive kept going. After a couple of seconds I did a revive. Everybody else ended up dying and I was still alive with weight 10 not being attacked by anything as they went chasing after the other guys who were still alive. I stayed alive long enough for a couple to get revived but we didn't beat it on that try.
- The lamp explosion was the nuts. I got catapulted across the screen and landed right by the next lamp on the run to get me back on track, thought that was great lol.

I am glad that I did survive to finish that first part, was a blast. Once I hit 30 or even 31 this week I will be able to do more with the no damage penalty.

I am not sure who all else on here was in that group but it was a good time for sure. Gjallarhorn just looks to be the main thing here to smash that area taking him to a knee.

I got black hammer which I already have, but earlier in the level I did get 2 raid armor pieces to which I currently owned exotics/legendaries for but now I only need 1 more raid piece and then to buy or get lucky with a mote of light on another exotic to attempt 32 with that character. I only have 19 shards though so would need 44 more to hit it. I'm not sure if I want to attempt 32 with that character or my hunter. I like them both for different reasons.

Anyway good times for sure!

Yea that was a solid run.

The strategy of using heavy synth for gjhorn and then waiting a couple mins so you have it again when you are out gives 14 rockets per run and so far we are 2/2 doing it like that, the margin for error when you have that much firepower is massive.

Right now the fight is pretty easy for 2 people to do, even in a group of 6 the damage doesn't seem to scale and you can still 1 shot boomers with Black Hammer and take down Crota with 2 gjhorns. Makes me think we are likely to see oversouls and ogres a lot more in hardmode with something like 2 dps on boomers/crota, and 3 on ogres oversouls. Based on the timing of the fight I could see it being really fun and challenging.

Gjallahorn in the Nightfall last night. I almost cried. Wolfpack rounds will be unlocked tonight.

anybody up for the raids tonight? was only able to do the weekly last night twice. finally will be able to get my warlock to do the raid too

I still lol when I think about how impossible we thought the Deathsinger was. That fight has made me re-think the way this game is architected and the logic required to beat new bosses more than anything else.

Sounds like for the free gift everyone is getting a legendary weapon today. What did you get? Anyone get an exotic? Anyone get a duplicate weapon that they already have or did bungie check to see if they had it first?

Tonight hoping to do 31 hunter nightfall...maybe 1 or 2x weekly if time...still need VOG hard for warlock (assuming I get him to 30) and bounties...could be a busy night until the wife cuts me off early sigh.

Edit...saw one post someone said they got 2 shards so maybe it isn't a weapon for everyone.

I got Up For Anything, I already had 2 of them and this was the exact same roll as one of them.

I got a solar sniper for my legendary gift, pretty lame since I pretty much only use the Icebreaker in my special weapon slot.

Nightfall is a piece of cake. I'm a hunter and tried getting up on the cheese spot with the triple jump but wasn't able to. I also got some exotic boots as a drop which I'll probably never use.

On now with 31 hunter if someone still needs to run nightfall and weekly spimp13

Here is my Voidwalker Warlock Setup, pretty fun build to run, had some good kill sequences during a low level bounty mission so I decided to upload a vid to show the super energy replenishing.

Essential Gear for the Build:
Weapon- Bad JuJu (my damage isn't fully lvld up yet)
Helmet- Obsidian Mind
Gloves- Speed Reload for Pulse Rifles
