Yeah, I did a few from a couple of videos just to test it out and they were all 1 token. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong or hadn't activated something (or needed to use a medallion). Maybe I'm getting 3 but it just shows 1 on the screen even though in the videos they show 3 on the screen? It's not that big of a deal, just was curious.

I hit 243-244 so getting closer. I won't be able to hit the nightfall tonight but hopefully after the reset in a couple of days if I get to 260-265...I assume that will be high enough to do it?

haha yeah I hear ya. I made of list of tasks to work on the next 3 nights to keep me busy but at least with somewhat of a game plan so I am not wasting too much time trying to level up.

What level do you think is needed to run a successful nightfall run? It says 240 at least but I would guess you want at least 260-265 correct?

Are there any scout fanatics in this group? It has always been my favorite type of gun from D1 and in this game so far I would say the Nameless Midnight is an awesome gun imo. I just need to infuse it to level it up. I read a Call to Serve is also a really good one for the triple tap, but it's slow to reload.

Scouts are excellent in D2, Nameless Midnight might be the best one. MIDA is obviously also great but a lot of high level Trials people are saying Namless Midnight is amazing and better.

I kinda think MIDA is way harder to aim in D2 than in D1, kicks a lot.

There's a mission that rewards you with 1 of 3 Vanguard guns: Nameless Midnight (Scout), Nightshade (Pulse), or Origin Story (AR). All three are elite PVP guns. Nameless Midnight is probably the newest hotness, Origin Story is a bread and butter AR that is outclassed by maybe 2 ARs, and Nightshade is outclassed by only Lincoln Green (to my knowledge).

So, do 3 characters and get 'em all if you want them.

Is this a bad nightfall week to try do the Rat King quest line step since it is already timed? I bumped to 254 last night so I'm getting close to my 260 spot I wanted to be before trying it for the first time.

I'd say so. Pretty rough one to complete with 5 minutes left. My team was all mid 290s power level and we hit most of the anomalies to extend the time. We got it done with a couple minutes to spare. Idk how you could extend the time legitimately. I did see a link for a video on how to cheese it in a FB group I'm part of. If I can find it I'll post the link.

Thanks man. I think I'll hold off on that part of the quest. I was thinking 260 was high enough to run it but maybe I'll try to get to at least 270+. Tonight I'll hit the titan treasure map which sounds like you get decent drops. Also I think we still have the clan rewards from D1 starting to accumulate as that shows 65%...not sure if the clan carried over or not.

Hit 266 last night so getting close to being where I want to be for nightfall (270+). I have one step left on the multi-mida quest and then depending on it's level I may infuse it into my 270 Nameless Midnight haha.

I did a few patrols that count toward the clan %...did you guys notice any % progress? I think it's still the Yolo clan...

So we know that engram stop at 300. What about exotic weapon quest? If my alt is 305 and I do miss quest I should get something over 305, right?

The 270 to 280 grind is getting very tedious.

It doesn't get much quicker after, aside from the initial boost from being able to +5 mod all the things.

And that only changes your effective PL, it doesn't change the drop level you get.

Which get everything more confusing

Besides doing the stuff to get the weekly powerful engrams, what are the best ways to level after 265 if your mostly playing solo?

Public events and stuff to get the local engrams seems to be the fastest way to get engrams. More engrams gives more chances at higher levels and more shards and glimmer for upgrading gear.

I am in the same boat even at 272 trying to get to 280. Do all the power engram milestones, pop a fireteam medallion and do public events triggering them to heroic on every one if you can. Make sure you joined a clan to get that weekly as well.

If you go to a public event that is starting in a couple of minutes and no one is there if you don't think you can solo it, go back to the directory screen and fast travel back there to try to get dropped in where another guardian or 2 or 3 etc is there. It may take a multiple warps or fast travels but it does work.

Also, make sure to do the treasure map hunt as well. I have gotten an exotic engram from that.

I don't think you can get good stuff from the lost sectors but I haven't confirmed that...probably much less likely than heroic public events I would imagine.
