Dark Souls (Demon's Souls 2) - Page 32 - Video Games

Four Kings is the most infuriating ****ing boss in this game. Totally does not match up with a Wanderer build, plus like 5 minutes to get to the boss every ****ing time.

four kings is mega easy! just gotta stay right by him, and learn about which attacks are ranged, which are unavoidable etc. watch EpicNameBro's youtube vids if you get stuck.

ALSOOO, anybody know if they are releasing Dark Souls DLC? because that would ****ing rule.

Four Kings was so easy for a tank type build with juiced stamina.

IIRC you didn't play Demons Souls LolPotOdds but it was such a tease in that as there were basically warp stones to each world, and one of them was broken and rumors lasted forever that they were saving it for a DLC patch to a new world, never came

I beat 4 kings on my 2nd try as a wanderer. I was lucky though because I had a +4 quelaag's furysword and apparently they're weak to fire. The main thing is killing them fast while dodging swings and stepping back out of their aoe.

Yeah I have the +4 Quelaag Sword, I think I just haven't spent enough of my souls leveling so I'm fairly weak (like level 50)

just run around it, it disappears after about 15 seconds.

also forgot crest shield, +1 for that. works wonders

What I love about Dark Souls (and Demon's Souls) is that leveling only helps so much. You can't just grind levels and push bosses faces in. You have to understand the fights and get your execution right.

The great thing about having the game work that way is that you feel that you beat the boss, rather than your character.

That's the impression I got from all the posts in this thread but honestly the bosses have been total jokes when I was outgeared.

Right now I'm sloggin along, I just made the second bonfire in Anor Londo and I'm getting ass****ed by the pair of archers after the gargoyles. Guides inform me I need poison arrows, iron flesh, or the Ring of Fog, I sure hope I have IF. I was using the Claymore +7 until Sen's, just no way I can pass up the lightning spear especially after upgrading it to +3. I am using the full Black Iron set with Havel's ring to keep my load under 50%, not sure whether I should use this or the gold/black hemmed robe with 25% load.

What should my weapon be after the lightning spear? I have 25 str at the moment preparing to move into something that scales really well with str. Butcher's Knife is my best scaler at B, lol

Or maybe I should keep putting souls into my pyro flame which is +7 atm

Should I upgrade any of my armor?

At the archers, take on the one on the left first. If you run to him, you can hide behind a column that absorbs the other archer's arrows. Def was infuriating for a while.

i ended up playing the majority of this game with an unbelievably ****ty shield (suggested by my brother who knows a lot about the game). my brother said the eagle shield was really good because it had high stability, meaning i would lose less endurance each hit. awesome right? not when it has only 50% damage reduction LOL. wtf there are so many good shields with 95-100% damage reduction which makes the eagle shield garbage.

i learned by getting my ass kicked by the final boss with that shield. i equip the black knight shield and it made the fight winnable

you must be thinking of some other shield bc the eagle shield for sure has 100% phys dam reduction, i am using it to pwn big knights in Anor Londo

but yeah, i can't imagine using anything but 100% damage reduction shield

literally cannot wait for this DLC

gave up on beating Gwyn on my 1st playthrough and on my 2nd i've got a hideous testicle-like object on my head for leaving a covenant without telling the priest guy (who i have killed, so the deformity is irreversible).
