Four Kings are so tough in NG+, they hit much harder but the bigger problem is they have more hp which makes it nearly impossible to avoid fighting at least two kings at some point. Beatrice is nearly worthless as a phantom in this fight. Shes always engaging very late and it often happens that the second king goes on her and she dies fast as a caster. Ive tried it maybe 4-5 times now with her and she managed to use her attacks only one time or so...

@Richard Tanner

i've tried numerous methods but my sword just cant handle it. after a few 2 handed swings it says weapon at risk. and it will cost a bomb to repair lol...

Has anyone here tried the supposed easy method of killing ceaseless discharge? i looked it up on youtube but he just keeps attacking me with range when i fall back to do it. ty

If your doing the two handed strong attack with the drake sword.... that takes 30 points off the durability with every swing. That's ~8% of the weapons durability every swing. I beat the Ceaseless Discharge with no durability problems using a Uchigatana, and Katanas have the lowest durability of all the weapons.

Lock on and stay close to it. Strafe continuously in one direction while it's attacking and you shouldn't even get hit. Then do two handed weak attack. I thought it was an easy fight.

Personally I would ditch the Drake sword, suicide run in New Londo Ruins until you get the Very Large Ember and get a weapon that scales with stats up to +15.

Is there no boss fight in Duke's Archives? I just kinda went through there without much trouble and now I have ended up in a place called Crystal Cave?

If anyone still wants me using spoiler tags just lmk and it's not a problem.

Spoiler:
You must have missed the first Seath encounter at the end of the archives and unfortunately also missed a great opportunity for humanity farming I think. Go back, you get to Seath by taking the second elevator and following the hallway becoming more and more encrusted with crystals. If hes not there dont bother you are more or less finished with DA and will meet him in CC as far as I know.

Spoiler:
Pretty sure I did this. The fight you can't win where you die and get thrown in jail right? DA is by far the most confusing part of the game so far, but at least the enemies aren't that bad. Ahhhhh WTF thought I opened up a shortcut to the first part of DA but it's not and warped to a different bonfire cuz I had to buy some arrows fjsakljsdklfjsakl

Spoiler:
Hehe ok, well then you are done with DA and did everything right. In this case theres no real bossfight then in DA. And yeah in my case I recognized too late that the mind flayers respawn. These guys have a better humanity drop rate then the rats in the depths...

I've still got a while to go until I finish the game but will probably give it a second playthrough. Is it worth doing NG+ though? Just sounds like you'll be playing through the game the same way, only everything will be harder. Seems like it would be more interesting to start a new game as a different type of character to experience a different playstyle, e.g. a mage instead of a warrior.

You might also develop your char in ng+ even further. My main char in ng+ is a dex build but now Im getting all pyromancies which is nice because pyro doesnt scale with any caster stat like int or faith. So I can still focus on my main stats but now have also magic available. And because you also keep all your spells in ng+ I already have all the big spells which I collected in the first walkthrough. Be careful though when reaching a too high soul level if you want to pvp because of the level restrictions. Im 130 now and will stay at that lvl because I only want to pvp after joining darkwraith.

Don't do the two handed heavy attack, just a series of two handed regular attacks. Should do the trick in no time.

Such a beat. Bought the game at wal-mart and my xbox wont read it even though it reads other games. Under close inspection the DVD clearly has about a 1 inch circle where there was some type of write error or damage which is why it doesn't work. I take the game back to wal-mart and get another DVD that has the same defect. I then go to another wal-mart and exchange it for another DVD that also has the same defect. Obviously all the wal-marts and probably other stores in this area got a defective print run of these DVDs. Good luck to me trying to get a refund. Maybe I can do a chargeback even my card policy doesn't cover computer software.

I just killed Lautrec on my sorcerer/pyromancy character and actually put on the ring of favor and protection. That's a nice ring!

I didn't put it on on my melee character because the 'if you take it off, it breaks' thing scared me. I don't like to waste things.

Wow that's awful. Find anything about it on the internet? Don't know much about how games are distributed but that's nuts.

Still couldn't best Ornstein and Smough at sl 50. Took the dragonslayer down a few times and almost took down Smough but just fell short.

Grinded my way to sl52. Easy grind in the castle. You get 900 souls a piece for the silver knights and they go down with nearly 2 combustions.

Going to head down to bligthtown and upgrade my pyromancer's rod then I'll have another crack.

Fight is way easier if you summon the npc to help, and kill the spear guy first.

Flame rather. Was thinking of the sorcerer's yoke.

Solaire's summoning sign is in the cathedral. Up the right stairs if you stand at the gate, looking into the cathedral. I summoned both him and another player when I did them.

Bleh. I'm stuck in the Painted World of Aramis. After starting a new character I went with a INT Enchanted Great Scythe & Sorcery build. I was rolling through pretty much everything up until now. I've got low 20's vitality/endurance and mind 30's INT. I can't seem to do enough damage fast enough to the boss to get her to become visible again. It seems the attack move set with Great Scythe isn't very good with this or maybe I just suck. Any advice besides grinding a **** ton? I think I would have to spend a very long time grinding in a zone I hate to get strong enough to take out the boss with my current equipment/spells.

No need to grind. I beat her on NG+ with a basic Shotel, because I was trying to cut her tail off (missed it first time through) and my usual weapons would drop her too quick if I used them.

After dying a fair bit initially I got the hang of it. Use a quick weapon, heavy armor (speed is not necessary), get your shield up and attack quickly when you see her footprints. Once she is visible, try and stay directly behind her (I didn't auto-lock her as was going for the tail) and most of her attacks will miss.
