hmm, when I was in the bathroom my sign disappeared, I wonder if it was because someone tried to use it, sitting here for another 15 minutes and it's still there so I'm worried I missed my chance lol

edit: yay got summoned, but some ****er killed us, got him down to 10% but that was it. my host was doing like 5-10 dmg to silver knights so I'm worried he wouldn't be able to survive the boss fight anyway
edit2: guy number 2 forgot to heal me for like 3 minutes and both me and solaire died when it was only ornstein left with 25% hp... jesus what a frustrating although great experience

it's surprisingly fun too despite failures

finally got it for the guy number 2 after numerous failed attemps, this time we had another phantom and were able to fight off the invader. Damn this game is amazing on so many levels.

If you have the opportunity to stock up on humanity, you can use it to heal as a co-op/invader.

I typically co-op with the thought that the host won't know/won't have time to heal me, so I'm ready to pop humanity to keep myself in the fight.

Given enough poise to tank through a hit and heal, 4 kings becomes a hell of a lot easier, even if they multi-spawn.

I kind of forgot about poise as I'm doing everything in my witch set. I just equipped the dragon crest shield (the magic res one, not sure the name), sorc ring and tried to burn them down and it worked out once I started getting most of my spells through with better dmg avoidance.

Doing now content I missed in my first blind playthrough. Both Great Hollow and Ash Lake were meh but I can see Painted World of Ariamis will be very enjoyable.

Is it bad that I'd rather wait for someone to help me with Priscilla instead of trying her myself? I just had one try and I totally skipped entire PWoA my first playthrough. Just don't feel like figuring her out since I noticed how easy things are in co-op and when helping others.

Footsteps and a weapon that does poise damage.

Or you can throw knives at her. They'll stick and float around so you can tell where she is while she's invisible.

Hopefully you got the fluffy tail.

Sigh, getting Seath's tail is going to be miserable. I'm wearing Dusk's set, Quelaag's sword +2, more or less know what to do from wiki but I can get like one bar of dmg in before he kills me. I think I need like 3 bars. What have I done by starting this run.

Something with a vertical attack may be easier. I'm sure you're doing the trick where you let him break the crystal so you can get behind him.

If you're tail-hunting, it's good to bring a friend. Depending on SL (assuming PC), I could probably help out.

Seath's and Kalameet's tails were easily the two hardest parts for my 100%, I think Kalameet was a bit harder maybe. Melee should be easier than magic though, free aiming magic is a PITA until you've practiced it a ton.

Got his tail, but still no kill, lol. I was aiming it wrong, I had to look it up after doing a couple soul spear hits for 1k+ dmg, his tail is 825hp so I knew something is wrong. Had to aim for the very tip, quite confusing if you ask me.

Yeah I was simply bad at Seath, just had to relearn him. It was very satisfying to clear whole Demon Ruins in like ~1 hour or so. It felt super fast. My character could be slightly OP now.

I forgot how much I hated Bed of Chaos. I think the 2nd half of the game is significantly worse. Well, it's hard to match up with amazing/ideal, so it's not bad, but noticeably worse on some levels.

Izalith was really rushed and far from what From wanted to do. The devs have apologized before for how badly it falls off from the rest of the game.

Yeah Izalith is a massive letdown from the rest of the game. Especially with how wide open and massive the world is, but there's really not much to actually explore in there.

I skipped cutting of Sanctuary Guardian's tail as it's not required for the 100% and seemed like a PITA (even though the boss was laughably easy in blind tries). However getting past Artorias will be something, sigh.

For the same reasons I probably won't try Kalameet's tail neither.

Fair enough, although if you can bait Kalameet's dive attack, you can position yourself behind him when he slams his tail which can make the tail cut pretty reliable.

Couple random thoughts:

1) I think I understood the term fashion souls now. I'm trying to 'minmax' gear for Artorias and had to go with big hat, two witch pieces and crimson piece. I feel absolutely awful about it. Shame!
2) Artorias seems such a great fight, even though I'm slowly figuring it out and mostly getting my ass kicked I appreciate it greatly and having fun.

Artorias was resistant to everything I had, magic was my strongest, so tin crystal catalyst made required hits fewer and therefore ended the fight much faster. I still have the Quelaag's sword just in case.

Just before Kalameet, will try him in the evening once my son is asleep.
