Even though I haven't played much in the past couple of months, I improved the way I use flashbangs a little. imo, I think I ****ing owned the nova guy here:

And decoy lulz:

A good amount of time opened up so I'm able to play more. If anyone wants to play just PM me. Nova 3 - MG2 would be cool, but any rank is fine. I'm obviously not the best (to say the least)

Best is to throw your gun as a fake flash. Almost always works.

Not if it's pistol. Unless...you're throwing your pistol and going for a knife kill? lol

got into cs over the past few weeks, really enjoyable game. I generally have preferred 1v1 games and there are some games that can be very annoying due to teammates, but this is the first fps ive gotten into.

I watch some of thewarowls stuff, any other good commentators out there? Anyone real legit here?

WCG, War Owl is good at fundamentals and general strategy.

Adren is a little more advanced and in depth.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'real legit'. There are some good players here *cough*, but no one in this thread is on a professional level. There is a group of 2p2ers that play matchmaking most nights, you can add me on steam if you like http://steamcommunity.com/id/malus1/

The only reason people play with malus is for the music

I personally play with malus for the insight into counterstrike only a Mensa member could give

Despite that insight and despite having a degree in economics, you still ignore my eco advice.

However, I still play with Krayz as part of my commitment to work with the mentally disabled. (and because I enjoy his Michael Cera-like voice)

Doug,

CSGO is definitely a game that can get annoying due to ****ty teammates... especially if you solo que. I've been on both ends of this lol.

Like you, I never really played fps prior to csgo, so one video that helped me a lot was this:

for a while i was floating between silver elite and nova 1 and i think i actually might prefer silver elite. the problem with gold players is they know a little bit of strategy and they become over-strategic and way too conservative and it makes me crazy.

so many times we've gone apts on mirage and there will be an AWPer at truck and he will hold off the entire team. we could just run out there and kill him, but no. same thing at banana on inferno. silver players are much more willing to engage and get shot which makes the game more fun.

so many times in gold everyone on our team will get mown down without even getting a shot off. pretty much every team i've ever been on would be much better if they just picked a site and rushed every round.

Btw, this is very important:

If you practice on this map, don't do it too much or else you might develop tendinitis. It happened to me and I had to take a break for 2 weeks, but I also attribute it to other things like high sensitivity and a small mouse pad (have a lower sensitivity and larger pad now). It probably has a lot to do with having a tense grip as well (and again, that is something I changed). If you feel slight wrist pain after a few 100 target sessions, take a break
