apparently a guy made a post over a year ago with all this information:

http://www.hltv.org/?pageid=18&threadid=434027

"which is used by more people in top teams, including sf from LDLC and more that I won't reveal just yet"

"It is about team Jbree (locher, slyder, blade + others) and their private hack"

if someone from FNATIC gets banned this would reach epic proportions

– Added DreamHack 2014 Team Stickers and Legends Capsule
– Enabled the DreamHack 2014 Pick’Em Challenge
– Enabled DreamHack 2014 tab in the Watch Panel

[OPERATION VANGUARD]
– Added Mission FAQ to the Operation Vanguard website: http://www.counter-strike.net/operationvanguard/
– Mission cooldowns now display hours remaining in the mission panel and journal.
– Added a display showing how many missions a user can complete in the mission panel and journal.
– Added help text tooltip for the mission panel.
– Added Steam rich presence and twitch.tv integration data for Operation Vanguard maps.
– Fixed de_dust2 Galil mission
– Fixed bonus deathmatch weapon score calculation for missions.

[MATCHMAKING]
– Added three restrictions to Competitive Matchmaking:
— If a player does not have a competitive Skill Group, they will not be able to queue in a party with a player having a very high Skill Group
— Accounts are restricted to two Competitive wins per day until they receive their competitive Skill Group
— Unless they are in a party of 5, players will not be able to queue for Competitive Matchmaking if their skill group range is very large.

[MISC]
– Fixed a case where the deathmatch bonus weapon panel was showing an uninitialized weapon icon.
– Made host_framerate convar accessible with sv_cheats enabled ( for movie makers )

[MAPS]
– Bug fixes on Workout, Season, Facade, Bazaar and Marquis

My hunch is that KQLY and Sf were about to get exposed by a 3rd party(esea likely) whether or not valve stepped in.

Valve had to get out in front seeing as how dreamhack is 2 weeks out. Valve is likely aware other players on dreamhack teams have cheated as well, but is taking their time deciding what to do because no one is threatening to expose those other players.

They have a huge incentive to nip this in the bud. If all the accusation are true there would be virtually no top teams left at dreamhack.

Good news is that Cloud9 might actually have a legit shot. USA USA USA

Flusha is the one that sticks out the most to me. He has played absolutely lights out in some of the recent LAN matches.

My guess is that a lot of teams were harboring cheaters but didn't know it. Seems reasonable to me that all of fnatic were on board.

Also, the roster changes on the french teams make me wonder if some of them knew what was going on and were trying to distance themselves. At the time there didn't seem to be any good reason for some of the moves. Aside from literally no one wanting to play with fxy0.

This game reminds me a lot of poker. Play good, rank up, have fun. Then I get two days of ****ty match ups with troll teammates (solo queue variance) and end up getting pk'd like 10 times after muting people. Last game had 2 guys who were hucking the bomb in irretrievable places at the end. Fun stuff... must be close to gold 4 again.

Some advice for a CS GO newb?

I got like 9 competitive wins, I am usually somewhere in the middle for the team, but people keep calling me a newb for going SIG or AUG, should those be avoided? Any weapon that or just useless or OP

In generel any advice?

I just play Dust2. What is standard strats for that map?

Most of the guns actually have their uses. The SMGs, shotguns, galil/famas, scout, and even the sg have their uses.

Ignore the people yelling at you in matchmaking. I get yelled at constantly for saving when I have $50 left and an m4 in hand in a 5v1.

That said, I use the SG553 on t side of dust2, but not that often. I do it because I want to actually be able to hit people on A site from pit. Which is much more reasonable with the m4a1s anyway. So its not really necessary on ct side to buy the aug.

the ak and m4 are more cost efficient and have higher damage, but i dont really think its a huge deal.

Okay, those cases that you need keys for wtf is up with that?

And any of the guns you get for... leveling? Any of them better than the standard stuff?

I got Silver III after a draw to finally get rated.

gun skins are just cosmetic. Some of them are stattrak and keep track of your kills with that weapon. You can sell the guns on the marketplace or bet them on pro matches at csgolounge.

The SG and Aug are both super underrated at most of the lower skill levels. The people that rip on them for being "newb guns" would often benefit from using them.

A few use cases where I do infinitely better with the SG or Aug vs AK/M4 (all on dust2 since I'm just focusing on one map as I learn).

T side: Rushing A from long or cat. On cat it's sooo much easier to dink a guy on site or ramp. I suck with an AK at this range, and with an SG I clean them out so much more often. Long is just because of the scope on that range. Also pushing out B is helpful.

CT side: Defending long A corner or rotating back to help at cat. Also watching tunnel on B site. My accuracy isn't ridiculously higher, but my headshot percentage with both the scoped guns goes way up.

Weez dont feel bad the other day we queued as 4. We get an annoying random so I threaten to vote him off if he doesn't relax. He keeps being useless, so I call a vote kick. My friend in teamspeak tells me to stop so I let it go.

My friend dies early and watches the useless idiot bait a mutual friend and decides he's finally seen enough and calls a vote to kick.

They didn't realize I changed my name in warm-up and my whole team voted me out of the game. Rip
