Just use engineer, those things show up super bright red and you can see them through doors. Once everyone is level 30+, you are going to get a lot of equipment. If you run around in your class, you need it or will constantly run into ****.

Woo, just got my game. Installing Nuketown before I play.

The song from the beginning cinematic was pretty catchy. Anybody know what it is and/or where I can find it?

100% agree with this and since I never get a 4bar the game is unplayable for me.........sigh miss the days when I could rape on a 2bar . Pretty sad the each game that comes out seems to be more and more connection based than skill based !

Just going to preface this by saying that I am absolutely terrible, beyond all recognition and I'm ashamed of myself for how bad I am at this game. I haven't played CoD, or my PS3, in a really long time so I'm not used to the controller anymore.

My first impression is that I don't care for the game. I tried a few weapons and can't get a good feel for any of them. The TTK seems really long, but I probably just have to get used to it again. I had a terrible time trying to kill people, but yet I would die in only a couple shots, even when I fired the first bullet.

I'll keep playing for a bit since I know that I'm just terrible and I honestly don't know anything about the game at this point. I'm behind everyone given that I barely have anything unlocked while everyone else is using the gimmicky stuff.

It's going to be painful for the first few levels, but hopefully I can find something that works for me.

Anyways, not going to really bore anyone. Just wanted to give my review since I'm 2 days late.

Loving this game. Been mainly playing FFAs to run around learning the levels but gonna start adding folks from the ps3ers list can hopefully get some parties going.

Most of the time connection is great, even on 4 bars in BLOPS 1 I would get plenty of wtf lag moments. The few times I have had 3bars though it has been almost unplayable; just never win a headon gunfight.

Anyone got any gun recommendations? I have been using the Type25 pretty much exclusively; any time I try something else I end up going back to it pretty quick.

This game was fun when only youtubers and competitive players had the game early as they would want to move around and explore the maps playing the game as it should be.

Now all you get is drooling tards that hide in their spawn with silenced weapons or they all back out in the first few minutes after losing 'B' or at the first sign of air support.

Along with this you also have utterly awful connections. This isn't just me btw 99% of the friends I play with are putting bullets into people only to get turned on and dropped in 2.

I always have a lot of time for the COD series but this is really testing me to the limit not just a normal rant after a bad session. This is not a great game and is supposed to reward better players, Everyone on my friends list hasn't got worse at killing people overnight.

In saying that... I'll give Treyarch awhile as they usually fix the problems in their games

zombies is ruined. its absoloutely no good to me sticking me in games with wank players who need revivng 4 a level at level 6 and then rage quit either disconnecting me or leaving behind the team with too many zombies.

There is no skill in living in an area that has faster internet connections so therefore you have host more often and get to godmode . Also the host in lobbies has no problem running around and doing pretty much whatever they want because they are basically unkillable in any 1 v 1 situation !

Definitely two different games with two different philosophies on engagement. If you go back to the BO thread on launch day, you'll read about people having the same trouble with 2-on-1s, rushing aggressively and TTK.

For me, the transition back to MW3 was more difficult. Treyarch games seem to reward a more deliberate, tactical style and really punish people who sprint, especially around corners. You have to slow down a bit. There are more open areas and choke points. Controlling these is more crucial than in IW games, imo.

Playing "campy" may get better results atm, but I'll bet you'll find a way to be as successful without having to be passive.

Take your silencer off for starters. It really wrecks your ability to win 1 v 1 gunfights

Love the silencer with the TAR. But I love pretty much everything about the TAR.

Quickly: Am I the only one to notice a clear BF3 influence in this game?

Level 16 and 98% of my kills have been with the mp7 so i'd recommend it

yes I tried this, no change. power cycled my modem+router, no change. man this sucks.

I never said connection doesn't affect BO2. The question was about the differences between the two games requiring a different style.

With that said, I don't feel the connection disparity in BO2 is in any way worse than MW3.
