Couldn't find the original thread and because the newest cod looks like garbage I decided to make this one on its own. I am planning to grind that 10th prestige all over again and hope some of my old cod buddies make a return with me!

What is wrong with IW ? I was going to buy it but less interested after seeing the IW hate (I was buying solely for the included remastered version).

idk about IW specifically but COD power rankings are

COD 4 - nearing the GOAT
MW2 - the GOAT
MW3 - started going downhill

From everything I've read, the series just hasn't regained the peak of games past, and until someone's like OMG THEY FOUND THE MAGIC AGAIN I plan on basically ignoring COD games forever.

I've already put my order in. I only want COD4 remaster but I have a 12 year old that things the new one is the GOAT so win win for me.

I talked to some guy in electronics at Target and he was saying the only way to get this remastered CoD is to preorder the 80 dollar deluxe version of Call of duty: infinite warfare. And CoD4 is only coming in a digital download as a code. Not an actual extra disc. And it won't be available with the regular version that goes on sale on street day for 59.99

also my friend gave me an IW beta code and it was just absolutely horrendous imo. the only good thing i can say about it is sniping is insanely easy so if you like running around with a sniper out this is the best since MW2. everything else about it is so ****ing awful

but anyway, COD4 hype!

I remember around the release of MW3 (I think?) there was some promotion where for each prestige you achieved in previous COD games, you'd get something in MW3, so I went back and played WaW (which I owned but never played much online) figuring I could grind a couple out, it must be fun, this game was based on the CoD4 engine right?

WRONG. Multiplayer in that game was hot garbage. Maps were awful, guns sucked. Despite being motivated even beyond "hey video games are fun" I could not finish a prestige level.

I haven't played any of the other games online a lot besides 4/MW2/MW3 so I dunno how they should fit in your list but I'm fairly sure WaW should go way, way down.

WaW was the only game I ever gave back to the store, 24 hours after buying it. Man was it bad.
