im lvl 21, i have about 1 day /played. (maybe 25 hrs) my leveling speed is lower than what it was on the stress test (that was through 15) and pservers (where i was ahead) but some of it is ive spent a lot of time fishing waiting for RL friends to get through the queue, lol.

my fishing is really high though!

I've largely grouped with people that I know, but the few times I've been with PUGS theyve been beyond excited. there are some general chat trolls, but that will always happen. a few days in the vibe is suuuuper high. i hope it stays even remotely close to that level

This is NOT happening on my server it's every man/group for himself lol.

Only a 3500 person queue for me this morning down from 15-20k on the previous days.

looks like they are doing something to the servers for better stability/getting people in streamlined

This 2k queue has taken me 1 hr 20 mins and im still 400 away LOL

I took a 4 hour nap during my 14k queue last night. 4k today feels like nothing

I've never played WoW back in the day and was even somewhat condescending toward the whole MMO scene (closest I played to a MMO was diablo 3 and POE, imagine that).
Yet I've followed this thread and the classic relaunch and was kinda interested...until I saw this queues lines pics and what is actually going on.

I guess in my case (someone who never played WoW), it's hard to relate to that launch.

3 guys at lvl 41 according to rumors.

I saw asmongold disconnect and get right back into the game without queue, perhaps hes given some streamer privilege.

As far as I know there's a 5 minute grace period where you don't have to re queue if you leave the server/disconnect.

the method event has it figured out now, so i doubt any of their streamers will face queues again.

they are just never logging off for the next week, and having event staff move their characters once every 30 minutes while they sleep

Anyone play priest? I really want to play Shadow in PVP, but I also don’t mind healing raids. Is this a foolish decision?

it's a fine decision but respecs get costly

I remember priest being a real PITA to level back in TBC. You oom after almost every mob, or wand spam to preserve mana.

If you can deal with the punishment of levelling the class however it is one of the top classes end game, both Disc and Shadow very viable in PvP and also a necessary healer in raids.

If you can duo-level with someone than Disc Priest+Warrior suddenly turns 2 difficult to level classes into beast mode.

priest with wandspec is fine.. it will not be fast but it is not the slowest and it is definitely not the most annoying.

when you hit 40 it picks up nicely.

Rolled a NE Druid on Deviant Delight. RPPVP with 0 minute queue time for the moment.

Unsure if I will go feral in the long run or not but will probably play feral for the first 30+ levels for the run speed if nothing else. I kind of want to play a healer cause I never play healer but I don't really want to level one. If this server sucks will move or reroll another class as I'm sure to get alt-itis soon enough anyway. I'm not a huge fan of this. A friend of a friend is remote controlling his computer while he's away, and frankly filling the server with semi afk people is a huge reason why theres a bottle neck

For the people living vicariously:
earlier today, group of friends who have been playing a lot got into BFD. 5 of us, warrior/druid/mage/mage/hunter. the druid and 1 of the mages got there early, and got steam rolled by a horde group of 5 running in. we get there in not that long, follow the broken bodies, and engage the 5 stack for a true world pvp with no rewards, just for the fun of it. we SMASH them! we trade our druid for 5 of them, but we are concerned they'll be back sooner than our druid - horde have a closer GY.

So we decide, of course, we need to ambush them around the next corner. for those unaware of what it takes to run into bfd, it's basically an underground swim into tunnels until you finally find the instance port. its close to a horde FP, so it tends to be horde dominated (and people have said herod is looking like 40/60 or 45/55 horde dominated)

we ambush around the corner, our druid comes back and the other group falls into our trap (really nice hunter freezing traps takes out their warrior, i charged into their shaman/shaman/mage and fear bombed) and completely wipe them. we're all on comms, so it's just a ton of fun.

we fight our way towards the instance, but now its the exact scenario from the 1st fight, but flipped; they catch us when we're in a pull, and now they go 5 for 1! we run back, and see they're camping us, bc they need to even the score at 2 apiece. we rez FURTHER from the instance, so now the fighting is moving us AWAY from the instance start, lol. our hunter is tracking bodies and sees a split horde group towards the start; so we backtrack, wipe them, and chase off the straggling 3. the group of 5, meanwhile, who are antsy for us ALSO moved back towards us, so we're kinda in limbo.

anyway, while we backtracked trying to kill the NEW horde 5 stack (and likely more horde on the way, more likely than alliance anyway) the group ahead of us gives up, zones in, so we run past the bodies and also zone in. we probably spent an hour+ outside the zone, and it was awesome.

much fun. world pvping for no reason (no rewards! just enjoying it!) is what the game is about

Good story. Events like this are both the thing I miss wildly about oldschool WoW and one of the main reasons I am still hesitant to join in. Was fun when I was single and could dump my spare time into WoW. Now when a gaming session is often only an hour long per day the idea of pissing about for an hour trying to get a dungeon run started is kind of a an issue.

Other news. Looks like world first 60 will be happening today. Jokerd at 59 +1/3.

Majority of the remainder of the pack is around 54-56, so will likely see the bulk of racers start dinging late tonight or tomorrow AM.

i think jokerd's /played was something like 3days 5 hours (?) i know method had the countdown and he did it in 3 days 20 hours and 39 minutes total time elapsed since launch..

then he did the big baller move of hosting method's little broadcast with his 320,000 viewers..
