You guys figure most guilds will be trying MC within 2 weeks of beta opening then I guess?

I figure it will take 6-7 days played for your average player to get lvl 60 which will take about 2 weeks real time.. ?

The best guilds will clear every new content within hours of release. Rag will probably be dead within an hour by the #1. The only reason any content will stay uncleared past release-day is if something is bugged.

Most info points towards blizzlike being undertuned compared to private servers.

I'm confused, I thought it was starting already, people talking about queue times. Or was that just to log in and create a character that they opened?

The race to rag is probably the best "race", because it involves leveling to 60 and getting everyone together and all that, big group effort. It's going to be legit exciting and I think there's a divergence of opinion (a lot of people think it will happen in the 1st week which is crazy!) whereas every other patch will have the very best guilds running over the content in like an hour or two.

as far as the question about most guilds:
nah, most people wont clear rag in 2 weeks. most people wont be 60 within 2 weeks. even those that think they're going to be on a 18 hr/day schedule or whatever are obviously not going to maintain that nor are they gonna hit 60 in like 5 days /played.
but i think within a month you'll see the run-of-the-mill progression guilds slaying rag.

but we'll see! its part of the fun!!!

Daymn, almost 700k ppl viewing (or waiting to view) WOW classic on twitch now. This game is incredibly hyped, blizz is going to make some decent cash here i think. And now just a few minutes later 1M.

Played from launch to about now, got DCed and it wont let me back, so now I'm stuck behind 16k people waiting lol. I was planning on playing all night, but maybe I'll just go to bed now

the dungeon groups look to be around 23 or so this morning. rumors are there is a 30+ hunter on eu. kargoz a smaller streamer is duo questing lock/priest and is 22 this morning as well, but the melee cleave dungeon groups are about to take off in the next couple levels.

asmongold had 140k people watching him get dc'd into a 174 minute que last night which was pretty amusing.. from twitch chat seems like there are constant que's into the thousands pretty much everywhere.

i've decided to wait a couple days before trying to play so i dont pull my hair out with the issues.

Cliffs: People definitely think they do. Too early to tell if they really don't.

I think Blizzard is making the right call by keeping server counts low. The "what now?" population die-off part of Classic won't really hit until 60, and it's going to take a long time for people to get there.

My biggest takeaway from the streams so far is that we need to have a frank discussion with our boy Hotted and get that man into Keto. The actual gameplay is precisely as I remember it.

Yeah I took one look at the queues and noped out for now. I am excited for classic but I have no interest in racing and may as well wait a bit. Will give me a chance to see what kind of balance / community-vibe the realms end up with before deciding.

I rolled on Atiesh. Linen bags selling for 3s, etc. before the economy gets silly.

I played til 8 am est from launch. Went to bed at level 18. Just got up to restart the leveling and 9000 queue in the middle of a week day. lol

The queues / server crashes seem to be much worse in 2004 launch then now, so tempted to try this but probably won't now, haha.

im amused that people were speculating if method was even going to care about classic, and then you get to launch and they have a whole studio set up in Vegas and they flew people in for a week to all be in the same room, and they are basically making a twitch tv show with 24hour per day announcers and commentary.

Totally regret rolling on Faerlina. Been in queue for 4 hours and I'm 3793 in queue still even now.

Rogue, Mage and Priest are all great, I went Rogue and got to 15 yesterday in like 5 hours.

My first hour was spent in the Human starting zone with 1000 people teleporting everywhere trying to hit mobs for the first couple quests.

I'm predicting the numbers don't actually fall off in the next month or so. Twitch had 1M+ viewers for WoW last night and there are a ton of people who are waiting for the server issues to get sorted out before even rolling a toon. I have not yet and as long as queue times are 30+ minutes I will not be playing. I'm probably going to roll a druid but I might make something else.

Definitely won’t fall off. It will have double the players of retail or more

i woke up around 5am yesterday and played until about 11pm or so. for me i had no queues (herod!) but thats because, well, for that reason

i woke up around 6 am today, played until server reset, went to clean up my kitchen and cook a meal and i got back 5 mins after server was back (was supposed to be back at 1115 et, came back at 1110) and now im in an hour long queue, lol

aside from that, game has been ridiculously fun. been playing with a bunch of people i know but they've all struggled with queues. we did dead mines twice, first time we wiped on van cleef a bunch and couldn't do it! (avg level 17) next time around we did it, but was hard
