Yes it's one of the things they did not revert back to how it was in vanilla.BoP items looted in raids have been tradable for up to 2 hours for quite a few expansions now. This was done to reduce the workload on Gamemasters having to move items around for players.

Yeah that was something they did 'modernize'. The argument was convincing enough for me, in that it doesn't really affect the end result of anything, (loot could always be transferred to other players in the raid) but this way just saves everyone a lot of grief (players and GMs)

Yeah our raids are down to 1hr45mins (steadily improving), but the biggest culprit is consistently loot time. We're getting better at doing it faster but every kill people like clicking on the dead body to see what dropped and there's like a minute or two of people hanging around. If we didn't loot at all we'd shave at least 15 mins off the raid time

Distribute loot after Ragnaros and use pre-assigned roles for healers/tanks via an addon. Those seem like the biggest time wasters.

As an update, we cleared BWL week 1 (over 2 nights) and after the 1st week have done MC + BWL in 1 night (roughly 3 hours total). Raid-wise, been great and a lot of fun.

That said, it's frustrating I have basically everything I can get on my own on 2 characters, so it's a little boring.

yeah. TBC is all but confirmed with that survey that blizz released. gonna be intersting on the timeline and how they do it, whether they keep classic vanilla alive at all

Just my opinion, but TBC was superior to vanilla WoW in pretty much every way the same way that Ruins of Kunark was superior to vanilla EQ. Were there a few small things that were nostalgic about vanilla over these expansions, sure, but basically they were totally better games. This can't really be said about Live because there is so much that the content is not focused, it takes forever for a new player to grind to the end game in Live due to level/content creep, but they can like click a button and get thrown in with end game characters.

I'm not deeply knowledgable about live and not looking to start a flamefest but the short version of what I'm saying is that TBC is just 'a better vanilla' where Live is not.

I didn't raid vanilla, I think I hit 60 like a month before TBC came out, but after raiding Classic I'd like to see 40-man versions of TBC 20-man raids. So far every TBC raid was more interesting and better designed than anything through P4 (is ZG P5?), but I like the feel of 40-man more. Other than that, I agree, TBC is superior in almost every way.

Massive black lotus change. The prices are in free fall. My server had fairly mild prices at like 140 per. Now people are trying to unload them for 65g.

my server prices hit 300g+. they're still around 125g.

I'm playing TBC, which is my favorite expansion. I'll probably bow out from Classic after this one, Wrath is when the game started to go downhill in my view. But having fun with TBC for sure.

I’m playing an unhealthy amount but loving it. On faerlina (horde). Main Officer and acting gm of a growing raiding guild, we downed nightbane (first night trying him) and gruul last week. It’s a lot of work but I love it.

Got a 70 druid with 2750 GS in resto gear (mostly bis except my boots), 2550 in tank gear (almost def capped, just need a few more pieces). Haven’t messed with boomkin yet but I have a set of preraid bis for that. Then I have a 70 hunter that was my main but he’s since fallen a bit behind the druid because the resto druid is so much more valuable to the raid. This week gonna see a lockout on each of them though which is cool.

Love healing. Tanking is not very fun but I’m getting much better at it. Hunter is boring af.

But literally anyone can create a lvl 70 character without a wow subscription on TBC PTR for Tempest Keep and Serpentshrine Cavern testing and get any gear for free...

my guild fell apart in the space of 2 weeks, all the core people just stopped logging on. We went from 3 healthy karas clearing in 3 hours 11/11 to having a total of 3 people show up friday for our only remaining kara. I gquit immediately. I was doing everything - scheduling, raid leading, recruiting, dkp, you name it - was exhausting and not fun just to have people flake or get their loot and gquit (several people did this).

Immediately found a guild with 4 kara groups and soon to be 2 25 mans, and they are prepping for p2. They found a slot for each of my raiding toons and said there will be space for my shadow priest when he hits 70 (almost lvl 64 currently - should be 70 and pre-raid bis within 2 weeks).

Shadow priest is the most fun I've had playing a class/spec in a long time. Idk what's so fun about it, you just dot everything up and melt face with mind flay. But it definitely goes brrrrrrrrrrrrr. I am doing 500 dps at lvl 63 on pulls in blood furnace/slave pens. About 400 dps on single target fights. Mana is a bit of an issue - I have to drink after almost every pull, but with smart use of shadow word death + spirit tap, it can be every 2-3 pulls. I think the pvp skill cap is probably really high with this class. I'm loving questing, people will try to gank me, probably thinking it's a weak ass priest, and I turn around and just melt them. If rogues don't kill me in the initial burst they're just toast. Haven't really had any issues killing any other class so far in world pvp.

The bis list is pretty hilarious for s priest, the raid bis back piece is just a green with +70 shadow damage. LOL.

I commend you for sticking to the MMO grind. I really used to love them, but there simply isn't enough hours in the day anymore. That, and my favorite MMO is dead.

I think I'd really enjoy getting back into WoW if I was retired.

phase 2 is really hard. I found a good guild but they seem really laden with burnout and officer drama, plus attendance issues. If they fall apart I don't know if I'm going to try with another guild, it's too exhausting. My druid's healing gear is good enough to last me into phase 3, and I also have built an offspec tank set that can get me through heroics and kara (got the wildfury staff from SSC, woot). I haven't tried tanking gruul/mag yet but I'm fairly certain I could, I have 17k hp self buffed, my armor is a bit low at ~25k (cap is 35k or something), but I'm uncrittable and have decent hit/attack power etc.

Really enjoying pvp/arena lately. Although honestly am losing a bit of steam for this game finally. Taking a few days break and just raid logging, hoping a break will do the trick.
