yeah saw that. im gonna hit herod as well then if possible. i dont really plan on reserving a name because i dont care.

not sure what the odds are that i would actually not be able to get on it come release.

the only one to not announce so far looks like asmongold, but if he doesnt go with the rest, im not even sure he will go pvp with his crew.

So why did all the streamers roll on the same server? Just a courtesy thing?

Is there any way to see stats of how many people registered for each realm / faction? I want to roll PvP but I am worried about ending up on a huge faction imbalanced server and how terrible it is without all the modern day cross-realm QoL features.

I mean I think it’s a whole lot altruistic than what prizm said but I’m glad they did it anyway.

If they are all on the same server they can enforce their petty blacklists of people that have the gall to pvp them. They can protect one another from retailiation. They can promote each other and stream each other’s events. And in general just make more money through viewers. It makes Less sense for the GIANT guys like asmongold but it’s easily preferred for the small to medium ones.

I remember reading that there is a blacklist of a bunch of pop culture name references (like lord of the rings characters, etc). So... it wouldn't be too surprising if that extended to some other games. Those names that aren't outright banned though are also going to be the first snagged, so possibly just bad luck.

i joined whitemane west coast PVP with a bunch of old guild ppl from another mmo and a couple rl friends.

should be fun. the ques were crazyyyy and i got my backups names too but missed my main one lol.

Do you guys all plan to play this super casually or what? When I played this game along time ago from 04-06~ I played like 50 hours a week while in school/pt-jobs.
Part of me is tempted to play again, but I can't see how someone can casually play this game like 15~ hours a week.

the first week or two I'm obviously going to no life it, I mean that's the whole fun!

after that will be playing pretty casually. but casually for me still means 2-3 hours a day - about what i had previously been spending on HOTS/LOL/etc.

Should be a fun time. I have a feeling the endgame/raiding is going to be a major disappointment for most people because of how easy it is but everything else about it is going to be really fun.

I keep hoping they sneaky add boss mechanics and blow people's minds, but it wont happen.

Like people show up in Molten Core and each boss has 1 more mechanic and people just WIPE for a week haha

Sorry noob here out of the WOW scene for a while as I havent played for almost 13~ years regularly, but during the time I played 04-06 I was a hardcore raider that did MC, Onyxia, BWL, and I quit just before AQ came out.

You guys seem to think everyone will clear MC really fast. Doesn't everyone have to raid UBRS non stop for a month to get decent gear/fire resistiance stuff, then give MC a shot which will take maybe a month from the first attempt to full clear while raiding 4-5 days a week?

Am I crazy to think Ragnaros won't be killed until 2020? Anyone wanna prop bet or do some sort of a pool for world first Ragnaras kill?

There's a ton of reasons why, and some of those reasons have been shared in this thread, but save your money. Guilds that have been playing nearly non stop on private servers are going to go hard for the "world first", which I think is gonna be cool, but also means it'll happen QUICK
