Basically most the higher ups left. They claim they wanted to make our clan a feeder clan for their. But they did it all in secrecy. Makes sense.

But in the end it's a f'in game so who gives a ****.

So I just started and don't want to read the whole thread but any pointers? I only have TH4 and like 750 trophies. I looked up some hints on how to build a city to protect it and have been upgrading things as much as I can before I start on the next TH.

We want to do this but we can't conduct business in the crappy chat client that they have.

Maybe you do want it now. Anyone with half a brain can see you didn't want it before you left. Now you are just trying to save face.

I don't think it has anything to do with saving face. I think they'd like to grab a couple of the higher level players that aren't part of their group and it's and "front" to do so.

I do agree, Strife, the chat client sucks. Having said that if you guys were serious about making a change and had a proposal, you could have sent something via clan mail. Or made a post here and directed everyone here to discuss, via clan mail.

Bottom line, regardless of what your intentions were, you guys handled it like garbage, especially after you guys approached Bob about combining, in this thread, not long ago. I can understand if some of your friends changed their mind and felt maybe the arrangement was -EV, fine, just move on and part ways.

Edit, having a feeder clan when you don't even have 1 clan that's full size, makes zero sense. I'm sure Strifes group felt they were more +EV without playing with lower level players, but didn't think this through. The war system is designed to balance clans. It's actually better and easier to balance top to bottom with larger numbers. Further, the larger your clan gets you'll find it easier to win as participation % from opposing clans goes down.

Just food for thought.

seems like you have the basics. upgrade everything before you go to the next TH - at least until th8+ when walls are ridiculously expensive. for each TH, look up good farming bases and trophy bases, and good trophy ranges to be in to get resources. if you're mostly farming resources, using just barbarians and archers (barch) is a good idea, at least once you hit th6 or so, i don't remember how it works prior.

All in all in done with the topic so whatever happens happens

Most of this is very untrue and the fact remains that we might not have implemented the changes the most efficient way because it's just a game and we didn't put a ton of thought into it.

Most of my conversations were done via text with the players involved and because it's just a game if you are offended you're welcome to try to find another clan that's as competitive as we are and as active as we are.

That being said, nobody is saving face. I'm handling my business the way I expected it to go down. Sorry if we didn't do things smoothly but I think this is best for everyone involved.

Strife, first I didn't say you were trying to save face , in fact I said you were not.

Second, you didn't implement changes, you left, with no heads up.

Having said all of this, I think you and your group are a quality, like minded group. I think you may find it very , very difficult to find folks who fit your competitive mold who aren't 13, so I'd encourage to give some thought, as a group to what you want.

Helps a lot, I usually have a goal for using them (focus on an AD, Wiz tower, or mortars)

They are not effective alone, need groups of at least 10-15

In lighter news, proud to report I won my first clan battle with 3 stars...then got cocky and only got 1 star on my second attack.
