I set up a clan as mentioned however I've only had 1 person join, I'll keep it open for a few more days and if there's no interest, I'll close it down.

Again, just search 2p2 in clans and request to join.

just DL'd and came to see if there was some optimal attack strategies. If anyone has some suggestions on anything they found to be OP please post it. I am lvl 28 right now. It seems as if the balloon skeletons are garbage and flooding two sides with Giants is the way to go with some archers to get the perimeter stuff. I have the lvl 2 wizard but they seem to die too quickly.

Anyone have anything?

Look at Barch(half barbarians half archers) strats on youtube. Cheap, simple effective. When you get to a higher level, a bunch of giants + healer is pretty good.

I'm at TH7 and my favorite load out is 1 healer, 16 giants, 8 wallbreakers, 60 archers and the rest barbarians. Maybe a few goblins. Double lightning spell is good to take out a mortar.

Love COC! And I love the new clan wars! My clan is 2/0 in wars. Going to war again this weekend. I'd love to go to war more often but I think you need time to recoup. War can get expensive.

Just got to th6. I am adding the new defenses and then focusing on my barracks and camps.

Is it optimal to level up one barracks and keep the other ones at like 5?

Do you guys drop your troops all over the board or what? I try to see what looks like their weakest spot or a place I can get to their defenses and just bum rush the **** out of that one spot. Doesn't always work obv

Quality of their walls vs your wall breakers is very important. I spread out my archers to make sure they don't get splattered by a mortar but otherwise just try to make effective moves... Hard to describe I guess lol

When I first attain a new town hall level, my elixir based priorities are to upgrade the laboratory to improve the quality of my troops and upgrade the spell cauldron. If I want to be able to use the new troop type that becomes available with a barracks upgrade, then yes I'll add upgrading a barracks to to my priorities.

I mostly just use barch now, 100 of each at TH7, and hunt for lots of resources with easier walls(lower than purple and not too many cells). The army costs less elixir and builds fast.

I'm th 10, lvl 128 with ~2600 trophies atm. I loved the grind for a long time, but don't really play much anymore other than my two obligatory war attacks. Here are my thoughts on attack strategies:

Resources only with no regard to trophies (Farming)
Half Barbs, half Archers (BARCH, as stated above). Basic concept here is to have the Barbs tank for the Archers. It's best if you find bases with full collectors, because you typically won't be able to go too deep into bases with these troops. Works for all levels, just be prepared to drop a lot of trophies. Very efficient and economical.

Solid all-around army for for farming and trophies
Basically BARCH except you trade some Barbs for a few Giants and 6-10 Wallbreakers. I personally feel more than 12 Giants produces diminished returns, but there are plenty of people who do well with upwards of 20. Lead with a few Barbs to trip up the spring traps, then drop the WBs followed by Giants, followed by Barbs, followed by Archers.

Hogtarding -- the noob tube of CoC
Using Lvl 5 Hogs with Lvl 6 healing spells is pretty much indefensible for bases without Inferno Towers. There are some th 9s that can hang, but most get crushed. The attack is cheap as hell from a moral standpoint, but it will cost you a ton of Dark. I go 32 Hogs and the rest Archers. Lure out the Clan Castle troops (very important!) and the heroes and use the archers to kill them. Then dump all the hogs at once. Drop the healing spells where they're headed (not where they are) as needed. Takes just a little bit of practice. I usually can get by with 1-3 healing spells, but I use all five in war attacks most of the time. Guaranteed 100% but useless against high-level bases. Great for trophy hunting <2600, and unmatched for elixir farming.

Advanced trophy hunting
Known as GOWIPE (Golem/Wizard/Pekka) Clear a path with some archers, drop a Golem or two, drop a few Pekkas, then follow with some Wizards. Takes some practice, but will get you the TH on most attacks if done correctly. Super expensive, and not guaranteed to get all the resources. Purely a trophy attack.

Others I've used (but not regularly)

-- GOWIWI: Like GOWIPE, except with Witches instead of Pekkas. Used at 2600+
-- BAM: Barbs/Archers/Minions. Good for farming, builds quickly and saves elixir.
-- Balloonian: Balloons (they get good at lvl 6) and minions. Just as bitch as hogs, but not as effective, imo.

You can find all of these on YouTube, and there is more subtlety to them than I've described. But most of that is intuitive after a few trial runs.
