Just as a follow up on the chat issue, rumple makes a valid point above. There are young ones watching chat, so although we don't have D.Shrute and his xxx troop requests, we still need to be carful.
Having said that, I've played games for years and been in teamspeaks where the chat is so far off the charts, 2bad would probably uninstall life. Anytime you get a large group of people in a "chat" environment, you are going to run into problems.
I don't know anything about clan wars. What so I do at TH5? Pick someone on their side with TH5 or thereabouts, and attack?
Yes, find someone you can 100% destroy and request troops before you attack. High level troops will be available to help, so take that into consideration when you plan.

I disagree with the base ranking. Go to the enemy clan tab in the war screen and find one that is within 5 levels of you (the blue no in the top left) and attack them. More appropriate selection method.

We just had a hilarious episode where a level 15 tried to join and someone says "hell no" but he gets rejected by someone else that didn't want to chat about it first.
Then I decide to invite that player back just to cause problems. We then jokingly promote him to co-leader to continue the prank, the new CL demotes the guy talking **** to him, bum hurt guy just leaves because I promoted him, new CL then just randomly kicks out one of our better th10 players for no reason and then leaves himself.

I've only spent about 20 bucks on the game and that was at the beginning to secure the 5th builder. There are loads of ways to get free gems though and I think you learn more about the game by taking your lumps. I know folks on th10/11 who wish they could go back and do it all again without rushing.
