we have a good structure between balanced leadership and muscle down to lower level soldiers. We are based on the westsiders in the wire. Dukesucks is the equivalent of a hopper. An unfortunate necessity.

I am currently in the middle of maxing out my town hall 4, and am 770 trophies. Is there really anything to be gained by being in a guild at this point in time?

I'm having a hard time staying elixir-positive in my raids. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, since I usually try to lead with giants, wall-breakers, and maybe balloons - all of which positioned to clear out mortars - before dropping weak hordes to clean up. I'm having trouble understanding how the BARCH strategies you guys speak of don't get decimated by mortars.

I'm using 5 wall breakers, 15 giants and 50 goblins in my current farming attacks. I search and hit things with at least 50k elixir and sometimes get lucky and stumble on people with 250k+ each and weak bases.

If you need to hop on the raid grind and request a bunch of troops with out returning them; don't worry about it.

That's because BARCH absolutely gets decimated by mortars. No attack is foolproof.

With BARCH, you're looking for full collectors around the outside of the base, or for more defensive-minded bases where the big guns are centralized and the storages are accessible.

You can 50% most bases by carefully picking off buildings along the outside, but two-stars are almost always out if the question unless you're picking on much weaker bases. Drop 3-4 barbs in front of a building, then drop 3-4 archers behind them. The barbs can usually take a mortar shot, and will protect the archers. Spreading them out like this also keeps the mortar from taking out your whole army at once. It takes some practice.

Lightning is also an option, because you can usually (depending on upgrades) take out a mortar with two lightning spells. The loot has to be worth it, though.

LOL, yeah, we have some priceless players. Annoys some of my clan, but I find them hilarious.

In order to become an elder there are certain things one must do/have done to them. Certain things involving your anus.

I've been in clans with a bunch of young kids, it's not fun, I'd rather just keep it to adults only, we do have a few 17 yr olds, so we would make exceptions.
