Plus I don't see how you can say walls are useless when they did such a great job distracting the 7 wall breakers he dropped. They do splash damage you know so bits a good thing they were factored in.

It is. I think I was level 60 something at th7. I'm 72 now but I've only been th8 about 4 weeks I think.

Personally I like gemmers. Gemmers are why we can play the game for free and why the developers are able to continue to trying to improve the gaming experience. Plus they often have base design flaws allowing for easier loot targets/war wins.

Maxvalue reminds me of those table coaches. You know those people who constantly berate the fish and go on to the table about how good they are, needlessly telling everyone how they should play their hands.

While I have no beef with MV I think this seems right. The argument between who spends money on gems and who doesn't is irrelevant, and your poker analogy is spot on.

There are 3 types of online poker players:
-Donks who don't know how to play the game (or think they do)
-Experienced players who berate the fish for playing bad and 'getting there'
-Experienced players who know about variance and just shrug the bad beats off, knowing the fish are where their income come from

In very much the same way, gemmers are the fish to the CoC community. Not all gemmers are necessarily 'bad players' since as been stated they could just want to spend the money for enjoyment.

I got my fourth builder probably only a month after starting the game without buying gems. Some people will buy gems and rush to that point, who cares.

A quick suggestion for trophy control: I started using a hero to take out a collector and quit to keep my trophies down. I do this while nexting against a weak, two-levels lower base.

The hope is that the base will revenge attack me and give me a shield. Idk if it works but it keeps my trophies down, and if it gets me an occasional extra shield at no cost, then good deal.

The problem with your analogy is that poker isn't generally a team sport, CoC with a clan involved, especially with wars, is.

I've been in too many clans with gemmers who rushed everything and had no clue what they were doing and blew war matches because of it, and I have zero interest in being lumped in with a bunch of gemmers because of it.

That doesn't mean I hate gemmers, they are good for keeping the game servers operating and providing me with targets to raid

i would gem but ive gone too far without it. i dont think its too hard to learn though if you gem or not just have to practice more @ crystal and up.

I gemmed for 5 builders and max pekka (just time, not resources).

But for real though, even $100 is really nadda. I am sponsored by bad poker players anyway.

Posting here incase it's missed ingame. With war starting at 5pm christmas eve, there is a very good chance I will miss the entire war. Will be traveling christmas eve and with family christmas. Will try to sneak away and play but zero promises

I would assume most people are sitting on their asses, celebrating casually with their families. If your family is super serious then train an army and excuse yourself to the restroom or attack late or night before bed.
