I'm sure it can easily be done on most difficulties. It is just probably pretty annoying to do.

This. even though it has a lot of problems, it is still a very good game

Managed it on my second playthrough, with Russia. +1 faith from tundra, plus tundra start bias, means you're pretty much guaranteed to get an early pantheon, pick the tundra holy district adjacency bonus one, build your holy site/lavras in half usual time, and i was immediately generating 10-14 faith per city, even before i started building the holy site buildings. by end of game i was approx 300 faith per turn using the policy cards. along with the extra tiles on city founding, russia are a really powerful civ

i think the key to winning religious victories is converting other civs early on, when they dont have many cities or apostles., and then converting their holy city so they spread your religion for you

tremendous game. im getting lost in it and have been very sleepy at work the next day haha.

game definitely is going to last for the long haul with mods and DLC. once they fix some bugs it'll be even more fun to play.

It needs a lot of UI improvements too I think, but yeh, I agree.

A question, Im unable to build the Oxford university on a tile on which Im pretty sure it should be able to be. Its a plains (Hill) with a river next to it next to a science campus. Am I messing things up or is it a bug ? Is there any way to remove a district when its places and has been improved ?

there is no way to remove districts once they are placed

Bought the $80 edition because I feel like Sid Medier deserves my money. Hundreds and hundreds of well spent hours on V. I have the best of hope for this one. Please tell me that the AI doesn't hate you after 200 turns of being your best friend

Don't worry, it will hate you after 10. Because you found a luxury he didn't have or are behind him on tech on deity.

Quit playing because of the AI, so tilting how bad it is.
Has there been any official announcements about it?

Game would be amazing otherwise.

Update released today. Is it wrong that the only 1 I am really excited about is being able to rename cities?

-Increased AI competitiveness in building a more advanced military.
-Increased AI value of upgrading units.
-Tuned AI usage of units that cannot move and shoot, like Catapults.

Makes me happy!

I think we might have the same problem, you think it have something to do with a corrupt file? I re downloaded the game and it's still not working.

I have a few laptops and it only runs on one of them, Im pretty sure it had something to do with the videocard/gpu/whatever it is thing.

FWIW, I found that some clicking around in the trading screen can make you some real money. Someone wants me to give them some whales and want to pay me for it. I then click some luxury item they have to be added to the money. Make the deal balanced again, keep clicking around while deleting both of our screens entirely 1 or more times and before I know it they are willing to pay me for the whales AND give me the luxury resource to go with it without having to pay anything for it. Bug or smart trading ?

You mean excited for adding features that existed in older version?

Update seems worse for me, making trade deals gets ****ed up from time to time (person Im trading with will request whales +20 gold +15 per turn while showing the 'what would you give me' button) and I seem unable to click away some of the notifications I get. Also gold will show like -34 and then be actually +300 or something, the 300 is actually right according to the stats etc (unless Im missing how this could happen).

Disappointed thus far. I actually fired up Civ 5 this weekend

I have high hopes for the game after an expansion or two.

Civ VI is on sale for $40 on Gamestop.com. I wasn't going to buy it full price, but now I'm tempted. I have a bunch of other games I want to buy, so I'll probably still hold out on something.

Don't buy it, it isn't in good shape yet.

Yeah, I decided to pass for now. Bought Overwatch and DOOM and am considering a couple other games, so I have plenty to keep me occupied in my limited spare time. I can wait until Civ VI goes down in price further and/or gets good updates.

Damn, I love the Civ 6 theme song. I'll start the game just to listen to it.
