Oh god no.

Literally every time a Civ game has come out, I end up having serious problems. Otherwise popular, outgoing, flirtatious, and productive, our humble hero actually doesn't do anything but play Civ for months. I nearly failed the semester of college that Civ 4 came out in, went out about 1/10th as much, and then re-emerged from crisis only briefly because of BTS (Which coincidentally is >Warlords>CIV>CII>CIII>Family>CI>Friends>Season 3>Season 4>Girls>Season 1> Season 2>Season 5>The rest of life, skiing is in there somewhere too)

Hehe, yeah this brings back memories! I think it was Civ 2 where if they happened to have railways you could basically take over entire continents in a single turn with a really sick beach landing.

Preordered a while ago.

I'm excited at the possibilities of 2p2 Civ5 games on Steam.

did Civ IV even have a public beta?

I don't think Civ 5 is the kind of game that would require a public beta.

Maybe I'm just a ****ing ******, but Civ4 is way over my head. I've gone through the tutorial like six or seven times over the past year and a half, and there's just too much going on for me to comprehend.

I love other games like this (well, RTS not turn-based) but I just can't put together my mind on 4, let alone 5.
