recently I heard the news that FFXIII was scheduled to hit American stores in early March.

I am more excited for this game then I was for XII because I heard from many people who played XII early said that that XII was gonna be basically 70% action and 30% story and its story was one of the weakest parts of hte game ( I don't care who you are if you have played the game you have to agree that the story was NONEXISTENT after you got 10hours into the game and it didn't pick up again till near the end. also the hour long dungeons really killed it for me.)


FF13 will be a story driven game with cut scenes and a battle system similar to Turn based RPGS from what Ive heard so far. SO I cant wait and will be p reordering my game shorty. are there any other FF fans or JRPG fans out there?

i really wish there was an option to play the game with japanese voice and english subtitles. dubbing really bothers me sometimes, and the voice choices aren't always the best.

I know many had complaints with the VA in X but I thought it was decent since I always welcome Voice acting.

IM going to play Xenogears and hopefully that will fill the void till march.

Im still trying to find out who the writers were for this game because I remember the writer for XII being someone who's works I had not really welcomed in the past ( think he was the same writer for Vagrant story)

glad to see others excited. I also heard that to shop you have to buy stuff at save points and also there are literally almost NO TOWNS in the game. Also I ve heard that the story doesn't really develop until middle of the game due to the first several hours being like a tutorial and about the characters more so than an overall plot.

For those of you like Me ( I know there's got to be at least some of you out there) I enjoy immensley Story driven game that have substance such as FFX we got a lot of cut scenes and a lot of the times I enjoyed them very much so. FFFXIII will not dissapoint for those of you who like a deep story as there are lots of cut scenes in the game almost as much as FFX said one reviewer.

i mean the only disappointing thing about the game so far is that the music isnt composed by Nobuo Uematsu. I would much rather have him do the music for 13 than 14 (which is what hes doing instead).

Yeah I remember thoroughly enjoying FF12, but I couldn't tell you anything about the plot or characters, which is not a trademark of FF. Bought FF3 for the DS, so I'll pass some time playing through that.

I haven't really enjoyed FF since loving 7, and sort of liking 8-10, but this looks like it'll be a lot more fun than 12. The trailer was very well done and some of those battles look sick. I hope there's some way to skip animations...

The cutscenes are fine. Watching ZERO Bahamut blow up the world for the 20th time isn't.

Very excited here. I've heard rumors out of Japan that people are a little disappointed in the linear gameplay. Of course, you could say that for all of them until you get to a certain point. The graphics look great and I'm glad to hear they're focusing more on the story. Should be a long 2 month wait.

+1, Summons have been the only ones that really bother me. Limit breaks are generally short enough to not mind watching everytime, but the Bahamut summons in particular are usually super drawn out.

what the hell @ the music in the trailer. Come on, lol.

idk why they did away with the real-time combat from FF12, that was pure win imo. Also, they better have gambits still. I think I'm gonna be disappointed

I think the summons have jumped the shark badly, I like how some of the FFs made them affect directly its holder's stats or whatever, but yeah the whole summoning is kinda played out. Although I gotta admit I wanna see all of them on the new gen at least once .

decent point, but they could.. I just cant fk understand why they would change the combat from FF12. Did ANYONE complain about it? The only thing that was **** from FF12 was the Skills Board, or w/e the hell it was called. Hopefully FF13 won't be paralysis by analsyis

I don't wanna say it but... Best trailer ever for a FF game..? Looks really sick its like they kinda mixed 7 and X together just wow my friend got me really into FF again this will be epic I hope since the reviews are fairly strong.
