Level 12 commando here. Game has been pretty easy so far. Sniping blows everything out of the water. So far the only things I can't one shot are badasses. It's kind of ridiculous how slowly they charge at you too, and if mobs get up close just switch to a diff wep and pop em. Oh, and those fire spewing grenades are badass. They melt stuff.

It's also worth mentioning that the critical hit spot isn't always the head. Anyway it's usually quite easy to figure out.

(Assuming it's similar to BL1)

All of my guns are terrible, as far as I can tell. It might have been because I was level 8 in a group with a level 13. I don't know.

I also don't know what I'm doing and probably not using guns that are meant for the Commando. I think he likes Assault weapons? And I'm using snipers, rockets, shotguns, and pistols? I don't know.

Tried multiplayer. It's very confusing because you have 5 side quests, the main quest, everybody is running around in different directions, nobody knows what's going on, etc. etc.

You can use any weapons on any class. It really doesn't matter and is all up to personal preference.

Can't check since I'm not at home but I think one of them is the Creature Slaughter Dome, which was a gamestop exclusive. I assume the others are maybe the exclusive skins for having a Borderlands 1 save on your computer and the Premiere Club items from the preorder. Just add whichever ones you don't have imo.

Think I'm going gunzerker or commando since I'll mostly be playing alone. Siren and assassin seem like they would be better in coop rather than solo.

Commando is pretty solid so far. The turret annihilates everything and I haven't even buffed it with skill points yet.

EDIT: I think I've come to realize that it's not so much that the weapons suck, but that you have to think about bullet travel. Once I realized that, I was more patient with trying to be accurate and not randomly spraying. And now when I know I get a hit, it makes the weapons feel much better instead of feeling like nothing is happening.

That's why it seemed like I needed to be up close because there was less distance for the bullet to travel.

so the holding down E weapon swap just ****ed me, lost my 45 damage revolver at level 5 when i accidentally swapped it with something i already have during the capt flint battle

the gun disappeared too, it didn't fall to the ground

It should have went into your inventory. I've done it a couple times thinking I was picking up ammo. I don't think I've ever lost my weapons.

This is just ridiculous. I joined up with IFX earlier just fine - now I can't join him. I can't join up with my other friend, who has 2 others in his game, but I can join any random game under the sun.

Just a follow up. I started with a version with no promo items. After editting the .ini file I had the gamestop exclusive arena, special edition skins, and the Premiere club preorder stuff (golden guns, vault relic, golden key).

Editted and gave myself 99 golden keys, haven't reached Sanctuary yet though.

Level 8 so far with the assassin robot dude. Died a few times, because I'm ******ed.

I'm not quite to the point where I am like OMG THIS GUY ROCKS, because just like in the first one, you really don't connect with the playstyle until a certain level, I think 12-15 is the magic #, the one that gets you to "special skill" in each tree. Excited to see how this pans out. I'm going sniper rifle ninja. It's neat to use your skill and just 1 shot crit someone to the face~

How does the online co=op/ multiplayer function work. Can you choose who to play with online? or are you just assiged a random game?

You can do either or you can do both. PC isn't working so great right now, but you can party up with your friends and join a random game.

You can join a random game and have a friend join in on that as well.

L10 Commando, im already wrecking with the turret and iv only upgraded one skill. Will be unstoppable later.

I'm playing the Siren.

I'm really enjoying it. I'm currently almost level 10 and one of the first abilities you can put points in to is a heal that gives you the ability to heal up to 75% (5/5) of everyone in your party if you kill a mob while you have it bubbled. (I don't remember what the bubble ability is called off hand)

I must have gotten lucky because I found a 45dmg exploding ammo pistol at level 5 and it's better than the blue drops off named.

I'm "Blix 360" on Xbox if anyone want's to friend up.
