What is going on...
I didn't restart and mine went through. Had to do that as well. Just don't click restart and go to the game.

Yeah, got it. Cool. Thanks. I just did the restart later and it worked.

Game is pretty fun so far. I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I am.

I started with Commando just because he was first. Not really sure if I can have an opinion yet since I'm only lvl 4 and I have no idea what I'm doing still.

Level 6 gunzerker at the moment. The game seems a lot harder than the first one which I like.

Seems like nobody who can already play it is reading forums, I guess that's a good sign.

I forget how Borderlands 1 was, I do recall playing it with friends in college. Right now I've done everything alone because I got it free on PC.

It does seem harder, I've already died a few times and ran out of ammo multiple times.

I had someone join my game last night and before I was done playing, I shot a corrosive/fire barrel that he was next too, watched him die, and left.

Fool was crawling towards me for a revive.

Edit: Lvl6 Zero

Why would you want to?

The game is designed around shooting things.

I started to write a first impression, but deleted it because I'm really having a hard time coming up with something given that this is the first time I've played the game. I played about 20mins with BL1 and didn't care for it.

However, BL2 is surprisingly fun. I was worried that I was going to play it and not like it, but I'm lvl 7 or 8 and it has been fun the entire way.

It starts off a little slow and there really isn't much variation in the weapons. I have yet to feel like I'm overpowered. I'm still waiting for that one gun that makes me feel unstoppable -- I hope it's out there!!!

I've noticed that you do much more damage the closer you are to an enemy so I find that I'm constantly rushing monsters taking damage from 5 different directions.

I'm playing on PC and haven't really ever been a FPS player on PC so I'm having a tough time with the controls. I'll get used to it though. The key bindings seem unintuitive for the most part. Going into my inventory slows me down A LOT. It takes a while to get used to it as you're always scrolling and flipping back and forth trying to see what is in your inventory and comparing weapons to each other.

I'm sure I missed a bunch of stuff, but I don't have a lot of time played yet. Overall, the game is fun and challenging. I'm sure the more I play that I'll get the hang of the controls and the UI and be able to navigate them much more quickly.

I haven't tried multiplayer yet as I wanted to take some time to get the hang of the game, so I'll be trying that today.

If anyone has any specific questions I'll be hanging around the thread.

I am also level 8 as the gunzerker. I feel like gunzerking is kind of strange but I am probably not using it right.

Either they are trying to implement the different weapons slowly or the rarity of certain items are pretty rare.

I think the reason for the damage is simply because of recoil or using a shotgun.

As previously stated the game is a lot harder than number 1 imo. I have died already and I have ran out of ammo which rarely if ever happened in number 1.

Hit shift to run btw

Yeah, I always forget to run, but it's incredibly useful and makes up for the long walks back. I tend to want to hit Shift, but then hit Caps Lock, Ctrl, just because I'm not used to the keyboard controls yet.

I try to use more precision when firing, but that doesn't always seem to work. I can't decide if aiming even matters. Sometimes it seems like I do more damage by not aiming down the sights.

So far I haven't really found much other than guns around the 18-23 damage range. But when I get those critical hits or I find a gun that seems to do well against some monsters and I hit them for big numbers it feels so good.

I'm really hoping that soon I can start pounding through everything as I'm looking for a good weapon that dominates. I want to run through areas slaughtering everything that moves and make quick work of everything.

BTW, I am Dunateo on Steam. Please add me and let's play!!! I don't have many people on my friend's list so I need to get more people on there who play often.

I've seen guns from 18-40 damage. It also matters where you hit them. Head shots = crits. I think leg shots do the least damage.

Btw there is a way to get a "golden key" that opens up a chest that is 1 time use the entire game. The directions are below. Supposedly if you are in a game with another person and they open the chest it uses both of your keys though so be careful about that if you really care. Some people don't care or they want to wait until they are max level.

Added you this morning, keyanaut!

My preorder bonuses didn't work last night, but I just logged in and started a new game as Assassin and I had the new guns. Still not sure about anything else.

Italian since you didn't play 1, it was always in your best interest to ADS and aim at the head since critical hits are so valuable. I'm assuming it's the same now.
