360 version got leaked and I was playing for a few hours today. It's almost indistinguishable from the original Borderlands, which could be a good thing or bad thing for some of you. The chests and many of the enemies look identical, for one thing. I've been playing as zero, and to be honest, it's been a little boring, but that might be because I haven't gotten too many skill points to use on my tree and I only recently got my first sniper rifle.

One thing I will say though, is that as funny as the original was, this one's even better. A few of the dialogues had me laughing out loud, especially the Handsome Jack lines.

I guess bottom line is if you loved Borderlands 1, you'll love this. Otherwise, stay away, nothing's really changed dramatically. There are minor additions like a safe to store guns you want to keep, and a way to store weapons for teammates, but all in all it's been pretty much the same ol, same ol so far.

Yeah, I don't think many people would have been expecting a bunch of huge changes, just more content and some refinement...like most sequels.

Zero looks cool but I'm not sure about melee. Might do a Gunzerker run and then Zero.

It'll be impossible for me to be bored playing this with a group. I could see it possibly being slow by yourself

Steam says that it unlocks in 5 hours, which is roughly midnight EST. Lucky you, you get it "early."

I'm assuming that it unlocks for all regions regardless of time zone.

What is the likelihood that this game has a Diablo 3-esque launch?

I ordered it last week and they sent me the activation code on Friday. I assume like the other person said it should be sent instantly now.

Yeah I don't know. Don't know much about this game.

But...trying to pre-order with the GMG code and I have to say this has been the worst online buying experience of my life. The site crashes, slows down to a crawl, doesn't work, tells me my credit card has been denied even though I never put my information in there, etc.

I might end up just pre-ordering straight from Steam without the discount just to avoid this BS.

Gmg is a really dumb site. For some reason most new customers can NOT order via paypal or cc. I don't exactly remember what you have to do, but you need to submit a ticket for customer service saying you can't order. You need to tell them specifically to RESET your account. Once they reset my account I was able to order from them.

Yeah I have given up on GMG. I guess I'll finally play through BL1 while everyone else is playing BL2.

After my game finished downloading, I clicked it to install. It asked me to repair the .NET Framework, whatever it is, and now whenever I restart Steam and click BL2, it keeps trying to install it, then goes to the repair for .NET Framework 4 Client and then just keeps making me restart.

What is going on...
