Strongly considering pre-ordering my first game in at least 3 years with this one.

Super excited. Loved the original. Online co-op with friends in the first game has to be some of my best video game memories since forever.

I just pre-ordered too. Borderlands was one of the funniest COOP games ever, really excited for more of it.

this has high potential to get GOTY with mass effect 3 dropping the ball in several ways and bioshock infinite being pushed back to 2013.

played the hell out of the first one, all dlc included. and all of the changes look like improvements to me (they didn't tack on some ****ty kinect gimmick as far as i know) - more diversity in environments and enemies was really needed, and the addition of a more developed central storyline sounds good. hope the final boss isn't a joke this time.

I don't see how it couldn't be GOTY. It just looks better and funner in every way from the first one. And I absolutely loved the first one, as with the DLC. The only thing I didn't like was never beating Crawmermax. Tried every glitch I could find and couldn't do it.

I started playing after the DLC's came out, so the final boss being easy wasn't really the final boss since I had the other 3 (4, but not really) to go through. Top 5 game OAT for me I think. At least in top 8.

You should've tried the glitch called Siren. You don't even need to use any glitches to solo it with Siren. Sure, it's also possible with other classes but like 100x more difficult.

I loved the first Borderlands and didn't even experience the co-op, which everybody said made the game twice as fun. Looking to get some people together this time around - on 360 and ideally can play late (12am EST and later) and / or on weekends. Drop your GT if interested and I'll add you.

Hmm. I considered playing with a Siren, but I played it straight through with Mordaci and then Roland and even attempted to complete all of the challenges with both (kill X# with X style weapon, etc) and I couldn't bring myself to do another one.

Never did either. I'm not sure what console I'll be getting for this, but I'll definitely be getting asap.

I am more excited for this than any adult has a right to be. Hooray going to work on four hours sleep for a month.

Surprised they haven't released the trophy/achievement list yet.

am i the only person that can't ever watch a video through ign's actual site? no video will ever play for more than 2 seconds before going back to buffering, and i can pull up the exact same video on their youtube page and there it'll load 10x faster than it plays so it's not my internet connection.

Giant Bomb quick look...about 50 minutes of gameplay with a couple of Gearbox guys.

That video is so hard to watch because he can't play and talk at the same time and he keeps jerking the crosshairs around so his aim is terrible.

I don't really get it though. What is this game all about? Seems like you're walking around and just randomly shooting at anything that moves, picking up weapons every now and then.

I've heard it compared to Diablo 3, but I don't see any similarities? How?

I only have like 20mins into Borderlands 1 when it was free to play on Steam. I didn't understand the game and it was too slow so I didn't really care for it.

You find weapons constantly, so a lot of the fun is always looking for the next sweet gun.

The gist is: you kill a ton of stuff, massive variety of weapons, unlock special skills for your character. Its mission-based.

Reasons I love it:

- anything co-op is way more fun for me. Sharing loot, talking ****, working together, just chatting.
- 2 or 3 times per playthrough you find a gun that's twice as good as anything you had so its fun to crush for awhile.
- the humor is good. Not portal-good, but funny enough.
- I like the art style
- trophies/achievements are fun

The drop-in/drop-out co-op is great.....so much fun to grab a buddy and just go f around. Will be even better for this in 2 as you can have a couch co-op partner and still play online with others.

Other things I love about Borderlands:

-The different effects from shields, guns and skills are fun to mess around with.
-The in-game challenges are a fun grind
-The characters are all pretty funny
-Numbers flying off of enemies
