Here's some info from Game Informer about the different gun manufacturers and some of the differences in their weapons.

It's a fun (short) little read.

Highlights for me:

The bandits now make their own guns. "Instead of a scope, a Bandit sniper rifle might feature a glass bottle. Instead of iron sights, a screw."

Tediore brand weapons: "Once you’re done unloading a clip full of ammunition from this brand’s rifles, it can be thrown like a grenade. The more ammunition you have left in the clip when thrown, the more powerful the explosion will be. "

I read on Joystiq you can play online with a couch co-op friend too. Sounds cool to me. As someone who couch co-op'd much of the original and could never beat Crawermax with just the two of us that would be pretty sweet.

Somehow I missed this from awhile back but release date is 9/1 per Gamestop. Which doesn't make sense because that's a Saturday.

Original Story:

Online retail giant Amazon.com might have slipped up and leaked the Borderlands 2 release date.

While opening up pre-orders for 2K Games' Borderlands 2, Amazon has also posted the release date for the game as June 30th, 2012.

sigh, i hope it isn't pushed back to early 2013, the 1st game was rly fun to play w/ friends and i can only hope this one will be better...pretty excited for it

the first one was awesome but didnt seem totally fleshed out. ie the cars were all the same, all of the same mission type, same colors everywhwere lol

Borderlands was one of the most underrated games to come out over the last few years. The sequel is going to be awesome, no doubt.

I think that's the case for me too. GTAV won't be for a bit, and who knows about HL Ep3. I'm over D3 as well. Loved the first one.
