Yeah this is a console mover if anything. And i think the relative failure that is DS2 is only gonna help. Souls fans needs their Miyazaki fix.

Has anyone played much with the Vita streaming? I'm trying to justify to myself spending $500 on a PS4 and this, but it's rough when games cost 5x as much and the system has half as much power as what I currently use. Damn you Sony and From.

Who knows how it'll be for Bloodborne, but yes a Vita is amazing. Some games are better than others on remote play - it's rate limited to 30fps + slight lag. It looks insane, usually. Also a lot depends on your connections at both ends if you're planning to use outside of the house. For sure a YMMV thing. I've never tried that (successfully). Inside, I use in same room as PS4 in direct-connect mode with TV showing other content (or off), it's very handy.

Destiny was brilliant on it, tho the sticks aren't good enough to be competitive in PVP. The last of us is unbelievable, as are Tomb Raider and Killzone. Resogun is not great due to input lag. Haven't tried Diablo on it yet, but expect that to be great.

Vita you also get a ton of free games with the PS+ sub you'll be needing for PS4 anyway, so add that in to the EV calcs. It also works as an emergency extra controller for couch co-op on the main screen if need be. AFAIK nothing has used Vita "second screen" function with PS4 yet.

Yeah this needs to hurry up and release. Probably has chance to be GOAT.

Pretty unreal that I'm considering buying a $400 console solely for this game, and that I don't think it's even a spewy decision.

I would easily pay $500 to have my memory and muscle memory of DS1 wiped away so I can get the experience from scratch again, this looks like it could be even better, which would be very welcome after DS2 was a slight disappointment.

Hope that doesn't mean they are making it an easier game for the sake for targeting a wider audience
The whole punishment thing is what made the DS series so good.

@Zimmer: pretty much the same for me. Only getting a PS4 for MGS5/Bloodborne.

Release 5th Feb 2015 in Japan, announced at TGS early this morning. No news on USA / EU, but I'd imagine it'll be Tues + Wed/Fri of that week or the next. Otherwise people will be making JP accounts all over lol.

Well, looks like we have plenty of time to optimize getting a good deal on a PS4. Any thoughts on ways to go about getting one for cheap? I feel like giving yourself 6 months or whatever to buy something... should be able to make this happen for $300 max?
