It allows you to drop trinkets/pills/cards, I've had to hold the button for a bit to ever get it to actually drop stuff.

I don't think it's the crazy. Cobalt had to have played at least 5K hours in the first one. Not sure about the other guy though.

Eden run starting with Guillotine, IV Bag and 4 points in damage. Proptosis and Monstro's lung first 2 items, later featuring Magic Mushroom, The Pact and more damage items.

I ran through Womb and Sheol (have already beaten Isaac with Eden so chose Satan) one shotting everything. Unlocked Dark Boy and Mama's Boy.

This game can be pretty frustrating when you get a run with no damage items at all, Blue Mom took my Blue Baby from 11 soul hearts to 4.

Az is my least favorite char. I feel so cheap and I don't like the short range brimstone. Somehow got mama's boy with a terrible build on Cain.

If you ever want to experience Soy Milk + Libra + Bouncing Shots (+ Fear and Slowing Shots). I was almost dead when I picked up Libra but after that it was just insanely awesome.

Tried the guppy one once and it seemed like it would be pretty difficult. Breezed through the first 3 though.

Solar System challenge is a little tricky if you don't have much of a defensive build going in to the heart, I died twice there trying to get damage in while dodging all the crap. Also a lot of fun, distant admiration is even more powerful than in the original it feels.

A few things got buffed really hard. So many items add damage now. There are very few completely worthless items it feels like now. But it depends who you have. I reset pretty heavily with Azazel and rarely with Cain just because Azazel with one damage item can 2 shot most bosses and Cain can go off if you find a fast arcade.

Some challenges are really tough #17 unlocks the coolest item in game but I've failed or rage quit it a few times

Suicide King is way tougher than any original one especially if you dont cheese into brim/knife

Also devil deals are much weaker now the easiest part of old challenges was the carry base2 deal

I YOLO rerolled a solid build in one of the secret rooms....for science! Got the 'cac + parasite.....worst combo ever. I killed myself with the explosions deflecting everywhere

Also....really Gobbo? What's the fun in that? Isn't the point of games like Isaac to embrace the randomness? Seems like it would lose its novelty real quick if you just discard the weaker builds.

What's most fun to me is unlocking everything and being an absurd badass with cool combinations. It's not fun being azazel and getting speed/shot speed bonuses in the basement and then a range up in the boss room. How is that enjoyable?

I will say, the thing I like about the challenges is they really force you into strategies and styles that you might be uncomfortable with and help you develop skills. For example, the "life gives you lemons" one. I hate those "spill" effect items and am very bad at using them, but they can actually be pretty powerful and effective, and are a nice tool to have in the belt.
