I'd probably prefer a free for all with no rules about number of games taken per genre/decade/system, etc. but I'd be open to discussion on that. Only rule is, please don't post Undrafteds, even in discussion about what has been picked already.

Specify the platform as in which one worked the best? Like Ps4 pro vx Xbox one x? Otherwise I don't understand how the platform matters, should just be open and free for all games.

I’m in - my idea was to have roster slots by genre because it might be neat to have comparable teams. I also proposed rounds by “era” but that might be too restrictive. That said it will be fun no matter what.

As with most drafts, the write ups are the important part. So take your time to do a proper write up of what makes your chosen game so great.

Was asked a question about does modded/additional content count?

I'm gonna say yes on this, and it doesn't matter if the content was released at game release or later, or if it was developer created content or user generated mods/content. The idea is to draft your best/favorite games overall and not necessarily the best "job done by a developer" although that is a massive factor in the quality of the game. Basically if you can find a defense for why your game is best then go for it.

I'd also say that there is no one criteria for what makes a game "best". For me I think I will judge a game positively for being ahead of its time or innovative even if it isn't strictly better than a game that came after it.

Like 3D Worldrunner was ahead of its time in terms of it being a third-person runner game to take advantage of 3D glasses.

Looks like a fun thread. The write up could be tough otherwise I'd be in being born in 79' or just early enough to experience a wide range of platforms haha. Subbed for sure to follow.

Armchair QB-ing this, but yea, the write-ups are the best / most important part.

The start of that 2011 SE draft is complete AIDS because the write ups are terrible or nonexistent. The best reason to participate (and read) here is to get all of those good nostalgia feels (i.e., a simple list thread will be disappointing).
