Best split screen Co-Op games?

I've always thought that console games are at their very best when you can enjoy it with friends. So it's a shame how the gaming industry has neglected the good, old split screen co-op genre completely. It's been a long time since I saw a big blockbuster game coming out with the possibility for local co-op (borderlands 2, maybe?).
I might have some leaks in my knowledge base here though, so would be great to see your Top5 local co-op list. Here's mine (typical sports games not included)
1. Lord of the Rings- War in the North
2. Borderlands 2
3. Any Mario Cart game
4. Divinity2: original sin
5. Worms: Armageddon

Possibly being a semantic nit here, but in the context of gaming I've always assumed "co-op" to mean you work on missions/goals together, as a team, i.e. you're not competing against each other. So I wouldn't label any of the Mariokart games as co-op.

My wife and I had fun playing Resistance on split screen. She was much better than I thought she would be and it actually was a lot of fun lol.

Local/split-screen/couch co-op is part of diablo 3 on consoles. Apparently Mario+Rabbids may have added this recently too. Minecraft is another good one. Poyo/Tetris can be fun. Some steam games on steam link work well, like ultimate chicken horse. Don’t starve together is on consoles.

Time splitters 2 and 3 in the game cube were our go tos for like ten years for multiplayer fun.
