Sooooo I am dying a reasonable amount even though I now know how to play the build. Is there anything glaringly wrong with my gear? I really like Lacuni/MS boots with WOTB. That is fun.

The only thing I need to do more of is kite ranged champion packs because they crush me.`

Love this video explaining the double tornado barb. Was only playing my DH post 1.04 but after watching it and spending 10M on my barb I'm pretty much only playing him now.

One thing I have a problem with is constantly sprinting and moving. For one, I'm always afraid of missing a drop if I keep going. But also, I just can't get my fury to stay up.

I might need to go back to a Mighty Weapon and try out the Animosity.

After watching him click through the AH it made me feel like I'm overspending on the few pieces of gear that I buy every now and then. I'm not sure if what he listed is bare minimum or if it will actually get you through the entire A3.

I also need more AR, but it just seems like prices are so high right now. I try to find a good value, but I could end up sitting there all day waiting or just say 'screw it' and buy what I see so that I can start progressing now rather than waiting a few days to find a good deal.

great video. i only had about a 1/2 hour to try out the WW build tuesday night after finding a decent dagger but i had trouble keeping fury up and it seemed like WW drained my fury way too fast.

i have 40% cc unbuffed and 280% cd. is that enough for the build? I have 550ish unbuffed AR and 49k life, so survivability should be ok as long as i can get WW to work right and get that 1k LOH.

Crit Dmg seems fairly low. Life is good, but you could maybe sacrifice some of that to get more crit dmg and all res.

What kind of main head weapon do you have and what is the speed of it? 1.4 is way too fast, imo. I use a 1.2 mace now and it works well if I get the timings right.

However, what that video stated was that a Mighty Weapon is best until you get geared up, so it'll be up to you how you want to approach it.

I tried Animosity. I'm not sure if I saw a difference, but I need to do another run with the +Armor passive and see how it feels with that.

I have a mace with 1.3 AS I think, 750 dps with 50ish crit . Off hand is a 410 dps dagger with 80 crit damage, neither weapon has a socket.

That doesn't seem too bad, but it could be the 1.3 AS.

It could be your timings with how you play, but it's hard to say without actually seeing it. Make sure to always keep your Battle Rage up and let your tornadoes proc your crit.

If you run into a group of monsters, WW through them and then when you get to the other side, stop, and while you're turning around to go back, give it a split second for your tornadoes to proc your fury, and then WW through again.

That's what I do in a limited situation where I'm not going to continue rushing through.

Also, if you have to, use Sprint, run up to the pack, turn around and run away from them so as they chase you, they are hitting your tornadoes and that should pop your fury a bit.

Get mighty weapons. Fury problem solved.

Yeah this is the key to the whole build. You make sure Battle Rage is always up and then your tornadoes will crit often enough to keep your fury up. Once Battle Rage is up you then make sure Sprint is always up. For now I still watch my Sprint icon tick down but I'm sure with enough practice I'll get the hang of how long it stays up.

Eventually you will get to the point that you have so much rage you are constantly spamming sprint and battle rage to get Thrive on Chaos to refresh.

can a few of you WW barbs look at my build and let me know if there are any glaring weaknesses? http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/D...1/hero/5308981

i've only tried out this build for like 1/2 hour and havent been able to play since Tuesday, but i hope to put in a good session tonight.

Switch out Frenzy for Bash+Instigation.

Use Thrive on Chaos under Wrath instead of Insanity.

You're slightly lacking in Crit Dmg. and your Crit Chance is a little low.

It seems like you have good survivability as far as Vit and All Res go.

I'm not the best source for information so it's hard for me to say which piece of gear needs upgraded first. I'm looking at your rings and thinking you could get some crit chance and crit damage on both.

Also, while both weapons look ok, you're losing some crit dmg by not having sockets in them. I would maybe start with the MH and try to get something with slow APS and high(er) DPS.

My MH is 837 DPS with 129% combined Crit Dmg and I think the DPS is still a little low overall, but it works for me right now.

Your OH is ok for now, but you would be better off if you had a socket in that as well.

You're going to end up losing a lot of your MF stats unless you have the deep pockets to include that as well. And be careful about giving up too much Str. You could probably find a Helm with more Str as well (and a socket for bonus XP). Belt could have more Str. Pants with more Str.+2 sockets.

i'm planning on copying the spec from the video posted yesterday, just havent had a chance yet. I cheaped out the OH monday and the MH a while ago be getting the highest crit i could on the weapon and not getting a socket, because that made the price skyrocket.

i only have about 2 mil gold so the upgrades are going to come slow, but the rings are definitely a priority right now, with the helm 3rd probably. i think the WW build will make the game more fun for a while and let me farm some more to get those upgrades.

If you are just starting out, I would definitely try running Vault of the Assassin in A2.

If you can do A3, my current run is: Depths 1, 2, 3. Skycrown. Stonefort. All of Rakkis. Siege.

If I'm in a group then I'm able to go all the way to Azmo, but on my own I start to die often if I hit some combinations of elites through the towers to the point where I start to lose money.

This is the best video for a D3 build I have ever seen. Thanks for sharing.

Yep, I broke down and started a WW barb last night. Only 55 more levels to go...

VotA is my standard run right now, and i'll keep doing that until i have the WW build down. i've beat up to Ghom in A3, but i die a few times each run. A2 I can basically just face tank most things.

I'll put this here too. Every1 should consider the cold SoJ rings. The cold effect on tornadoes is huuuuuge!

I got mine for 2M which is obv a steal but I dont think ppl understand that the rings actually add X% of cold damage giving your attacks a 100% chill effect.

E: I can let EU ppl try the ring out if they are skeptical!

yep I got a 30% one, its seriously game breaking. arcane not cold though.

Are you looking at Dmg Against Elites?

I'm not seeing anything for Barbs and everything in my price range is Holy, Poison, or Fire.

A little too rich for my bankroll right now. I'm trying to save up for some Immortal set items.

No the barb ones are way over priced. I got a witch doctor one for 18m and its great I dont like to spend 300m for 15 fury.

It really is a perfect ring for a ww barb. It helps you kill elites faster and gets your dps down against trash mobs so you dont 1 hit everything and kill your fury regen.

what kind of build you guys used to level up?
starting nightmare so choices are limited.
right now using frenzy, ignore pain, call of the ancient, revenge, sprint and seismic slam.
kinda picked the skills as they came up without much thought.
but nightmare is a little bit difficult so I wonder what was working well.

I've always used cleave with rupture.

I used Revenge-the first rune and Sprint with Marathon for speed of leveling. Nightmare/Hell should be really easy. Would suggest buying Cain's set and a good 2her with level reduction and a socket.

Got the hang of WW and was able to clear act 3 today. I died a lot at the beginning and had trouble with certain affixes all the way through, but I should be able to farm A3 from now on
