Actual marathon, during AwfulGDQ. It's a bonus game, which I *think* means it gets in if we're running ahead enough.

Once I get to practicing I'm going to try to get reliably sub-minute.

Current PB is 1:02 but I had to use a Master System pad, which is suboptimal for this.

Two things help.

You eliminate the RNG, so that you know where the phone pieces are, since if you hold the button while turning the power on, you get the same layout every time.

You learn how to get out of the flipping pits.

And then you're fine.

Cool stuff Neil. I'll probably see you there. I'm scheduled to run Goldeneye and commentate Perfect Dark, late Friday the 10th in the stacked block (right after Metroids and Zeldas, and right before the GTA + Mario + Cosmo finale)

My buddy Bismuth is also running a "bonus" game, Minecraft, and seems to believe that he's in 100%, so have confidence that you'll probably be playing ET for 30k people, lol.

The plan right now is to do the whole game with an in-game control style option which allows 2 controllers to control Bond. It will take a lot of coordination with my friend BassBoost and a fair bit of practice, but it should be cool.

Perfect Dark is going to be insane. Super, super difficult. I'll be on the couch for that.

Lol, the run will be fine. It's more of a gimmicky, fun run than it is a super fast, competitive, world record attempt run, so I don't think there will be much pressure. It will just be a fun time. Like an exhibition tennis match.

I was thinking about making a Twitch thread here when this thread was first created, Goofy said it'd be cool. Maybe I will soon or today.

There is a language rule for the stream. I mean, this is for a cancer charity and all, heh.

But if you're practiced enough it should be possible to roll with whatever comes, using a marathon route, etc.
