the first axes sold went for like 50$ and now theyre 10$ and falling rapidly lol. Drow and kanna (i think both are the 2nd highest $ cards) are like 4$ and below...

Mine is pretty sick as well. Won the first game against a drow with cheating death, mists, unearthed secrets and all the good black cards in 2.33 rounds.

I suck and went into Expert Draft largely blind aside from the tier list someone posted on page 1. Last game I had 2x Horn of the Alphas on turn 3. Playing blue/black and luckboxed a Horn in the store after round 2. Put it on my Veno, "And One for Me" duplicated it.

You can tell the game is new and everyone sucks. I've already had more than one person override hero equipment with side/downgrades, and almost did it myself a couple times. My guess is that won't last long.

^jesus copying an early horn ive never seen that seems like the start of a lifetime lol.


clearly im still making a lot of mistakes that beta pros you just dont see them make cause theyre more aware and not distracted (feels weird to actually have to focus ).

went only 3-2 in my first expert draft (made two HUGE mistakes that wouldve won my 2 losses like misclicking a blink lmao...)

and 4-1 in keeper draft, good value there.

Double horn on 3 would definitely be worth a reddit post if you have a clip of it.

Went in thinking i'd be fairly decent after watching a bunch of streams and realized after 2 games I was still completely clueless about a ton of little mechanical things that matter a lot. Got carried to 5-0 by the deck above despite making big mistakes nearly every game (including playing the oath on turn 2 in a lane I couldn't get a black hero in the rest of the game ). Drafted a pretty terrible keeper deck so will be interesting to see how that goes.

Also did the downgrade equipment thing but then realized it gave me an advantage as I was pushing lethal and didn't want to use my mana before seeing what the op had so did it twice more.

No clip of that double horn, but had I been streaming, everyone would've seen me just now throw a won game by simply not noticing he was about to kill my 2nd tower. I had unstoppable lethal next round because he had no heroes coming out and none in lane, I had the ability to prevent my own death but I was too busy celebrating getting my Event Ticket back to notice.

RIP.

The double turn 3 horn was on the back of a gold mine, 2x Payday in turn 2, and just lucking into it in the turn 2 store. Nothing fancy, just lucky draws.

I won my last Green/Blue game on the back of bouncing units out of my way over and over again with a splash of Friendly Fire to deal with stacked heroes. Christ that would've been frustrating to play against.

Everyone else is just abandoning one of the lanes with the OP heroes and just trying to land two tower kills in the others, right? I wonder how many games end with the 80hp tower dying.

Based on the couple of games I've played so far I've had very interesting games. Too bad I have to work on school project tonight so can't really play before tomorrow.

Picked it up, sold my 5-6 most expensive rares (since doubt I will ever play constructed), got back like $12. Game seems fun especially since i played a lot of LoL and some dota and there is a surprising amount of crossover in terms of when to push lanes etc. Only played the tutorial and 2 bot games but enjoy the differing strategies and synergies. Certainly a lot more fun than it looks on stream.

Can you actually cash out any money you get? Or does it go into your steam wallet and just becomes non-transferrable steam money?

You can cash out in roundabout ways, but Steam wallet is officially a one-way ticket by design.

I can think of many worse places to have funds tied up than Steam.

oh my god i just won a game where the guy luckboxed coinflips to kill 2 heroes turn 1, bought golden ticket instantly, got nyctashas guard (the 25 gold thing).
