Free to play MMORPG. It's in beta now but I think they said they will not be doing a reset when it's officially released. Only limited to two characters atm.

5 playable classes so far: (hopefully they add more, since these are kinda uninteresting)
Tank
Healer
Caster
stealth fighter/rogue
standard melee fighter

I got to level 8 yesterday. Gameplay is pretty fun but the graphics are terribad. The game is pretty straightforward though. I'm playing as a Guardian Fighter (tank class). Abilities are all cooldown based (no mana) and can be upgraded as you level up. The quest helper seems solid -- there's a pixie dust trail that you follow which leads you to objectives along with the standard minimap icons. Gathering professions are based on your class, though you can buy these 1-time kits to gather a different profession. Not sure how crafting, instancing, or pvp are in this game.

Not sure if I'll get that into it but I want to level up enough to run some instances, since that's typically what I enjoy most.

I played beta a while ago and got to level 25. It seemed there was really only 1 quest line that you followed throughout the whole game and there wasn't much to do.

Touted as an MMORPG with actual roleplaying. Is that true? This Foundry thing sounds interesting. I loved the original Neverwinter Nights because there were an enormous amount of custom campaigns to play.

This is true. Pvp is pretty fun but there's only one mode. Also it's extremely pay to win. You can get the same stuff it just takes sooooo much longer.

Not sure about the RP aspect but it's D&D so....

Foundry thing is interesting. I think they are user created quests? Pretty cool feature, -- they take longer than an average quest tho (like 10-15 mins).

Foundry is cool but easily exploitable. People make maps that are like 50 mobs grouped up on a platform just to power level.

I've been playing this and it's pretty enjoyable for what it is. It does seem pretty pay to win though so I am not in any hurry to get to end game. Just enjoying the dungeons and stuff along the way and will probably quit in not too long.

The thing that really annoys me with these games is how expensive things are on the market. I would totally throw down some money on micro transactions, but when they are trying to charge $40 for a mount and $10 for a single bag, its like, wtf...

Yeap. Paying for gear or cosmetic stuff I get - but only getting two extra bags and having to pay $10 a pop? **** you.

Exploiters crushed the game already and its fan base puts 2 weeks of time/ progress over having a stable economy in the future. no roll backs or server restarts.

idk if they decided to roll back or not I might be getting trolled.

What is this rollback that occurred?

I had a bunch of stuff on the AH and it all disappeared.

edit - It looks like they have the AH disabled right now so maybe it isn't gone

it was a 7 hr rollback. apparently the bug was being exploited/ known since the very beginning but it was only in the last day that it got public and really used by (affected?) a lot of people

what was the bug?

I'm level 16 on dragon Akay@gemmarays. I haven't played in like a week though lol. Probably won't get to max level.

It was possible to sell stuff i the AH for negative amounts, so people gained tons of money and crashed the economy.

from what I understand, people were able to bid 'negative' astral diamonds on an item. I don't understand the mechanics as I'm only lv 11 and started playing the game 2 days ago but if I understand correctly the using the bug to buy something that cost 1m ad, the buyer would get 1,000,000 of the astral diamonds and the seller would still lose his item and get nothing out of it.

LOL really. The game deserves to be ruined for overlooking such a stupid (and easy to fix) bug.

Not bad for a free to play game. There's a dude on Twitch who goes from level 1 - 60 in 24 hours and he says the fastest way to level is to just follow the storyline as it goes. http://www.twitch.tv/ellohime/c/2345569

I'm only on level 6. When does it get challenging? I understand the importance of easing players in, but this is just silly. You'd have to be ******ed to have not got the hang of it by now - press the LMB a lot. Press the RMB sometimes. Press 3 to drink a potion. Sorted.

Been playing this f2p game lately on the PS4. Got a rogue up to level 70, but I feel like I'm missing out on end game content because I'm still trying to learn about all of the factions and currencies. Any tips would be appreciated.
