Your methodologies for incorporating MDA in to Strategy? Your methodologies for incorporating MDA in to Strategy?

With this post,

I'm hoping to spark a discussion going in to the nitty gritties of the methodology people go through in order to adjust their baseline strategies in accordance with the pool data they've analyzed. I'm curious on what kind of steps people take in order to effectively come up with exploits, and then incorporating those exploit to their game. If you couldn't tell already, on this frontier I'm quite new but I think it has huge potential to increase winrate, especially in pools where the regulars substantially deviate from balanced play against other regulars.

The question is broad, and there are no expectations of specifics here. This Thread should hopefully serve as a way to give guidance to those people who already have their database set up with detailed information, but aren't exactly sure where they should start and what exactly should they prioritize - and how they will Incorporate all this in to their game.

So then, any reply is appreciated and there are no wrong answers. If you think you have something that could potentially be of use to people fit the criteria above, hopefully you can unload your wisdom to those in need.

I'm also curious where people are getting their data? Is it just from hand histories or is their a repository of thousands? millions? of hands that is available to pour through.

Often from their database of hands, yeah. If you play a few hundred thousand hands, you already have over a million hands total on the pool. Some people even take it a step further, and actually buy millions of hands from websites that sell datamined hands - Ethics of which are questionable, and certainly prohibited by many sites. But since there is no way to find out if someone is actually using datamined hands to their advantage, probably most of the people who study pool tendencies do it if the pool they play on is datamined by 3rd parties.
