This isn’t a tournament— there’s no issue with folding with a short stack left. If I’m remembering the hand right, he had to call about $4 and the pot, including the portion of your bet he covered, was about $21. This means he needed about 16% equity to call the all in.

There are hands which would make a fold at least a reasonable option. Suppose he had a small pocket pair and was set hunting. Two outs with two cards to come gives about 8.5% equity. Certainly the pair might be good, but a fold wouldn’t be terrible.

And your assumption would be very wrong. I am a profitable 50 NL player, semi professional and do some coaching as well.

The hand strength has nothing to do with this play, for you I would suggest you do some practice and read on concepts of playing the situation and the player and not just your cards.

I think this post just proves how everyone decided you played it wrong and I know better before they even watch the hand. This hand was clearly posted for comical reasons as the guy folded so bad, but the trolls in here already decided they know better and poster is wrong before they even watched hand.
