Hand 1: Villain is TheFan83, I'll assume some of you know how he plays.

Poker Stars $550+$20 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t10/t20 Blinds - 2 players

BB: t1490
Hero (BTN/SB): t1510

Pre Flop: Hero is BTN/SB with 8 9
Hero raises to t60, BB calls t40

Flop: (t120) 2 6 7 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets t80, BB calls t80

Turn: (t280) 7 (2 players)
BB bets t200, Hero calls t200

River: (t680) Q (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets t400

Hand 2: Villain is unknown, but a winning player over 3k games avg. stake $27. Limps alot, folds to my donkleads. Calls alot OOP, floats virtually every cbet and checks down even when he hits. Really just seems bad to me.

Does that mean he missed the turn?

I can't figure what you're accomplishing on the river. Folding out small hearts? (I'm not critiquing, I'm asking).

Hand 1, I don't know much about villian, but it looks ok.

Hand 2, villian seems to be a bit of a calling station. With an avg stake of 27, possibly playing these stakes because he is tilting after a bad session, calling a lot on flops, playing too much OOP, he is hardly ever folding ANY heart or straight on this board IMO. You do keep him from chopping some of the time, but it's not often enough.

Villain was folding to donkbets. I think he can definitely fold a straight here.

That doesn't mean he has a straight when he is folding to donkbets....

Hand 1 is completely fine, I'd play it the same way. It looks like he has a six or some mid pair. Hand 2 I think your rvr shove is bad, his range is pretty much defined as a made flush, a flush draw or st8. You just rly dont want a chop? The only hand you fold out that beats you is the Q.

I like the first hand but i'm pretty sure you're only folding out air.
Hand 2, i believe villain has either the nuts or air because of his weak turn bet so i'm not sure about it...

Actually on hand 1, if I'm villain I'm snapping off that bluff with almost 100% of my range. I mean, I would value bet the river pretty thinly but I'd also bet the turn with all hands I'm value betting river.

In hindsight I like hand 2, and hand 1 not so much but maybe depending on flow of match.

Don't really know how you play Fan, but I know who you are.

Hand 1 will get hero called so much.
Hand 2 i like, so very few combinations he can call this with and very unlikely he has either of those.

What range do you put villain in hand 1 on the river? That whole hand seems like a leveling game which is hard to evaluate in a vacuum...

Hand2:
If he were better this would be very std, this way it depends on how passive you think he is imo (What range would he shove facing a check on the river).

I think the dynamic for hand one to work involves a value-bet and a raise.
