I don't know either, since according to you guys I suck at poker.

I don't need to tell this player if they should make the call or not.
I can point out the existence of pot odds and the resources they need to study the concept for themselves.

So basically I've thought someone how to use pot odds, without being able to use them myself.
All that was required was the awareness of the concept.

How do you think the very best players at anything in the world get coaching?
Do you think they have coaches who are better than them but just don't like to compete?
Or do you think their coaches are all scammers who just teach them nothing?
And you think that would be acceptable?

Would you buy golf lessons off a teacher, who when asked by you on the range how to hit a draw, would say: well go look on youtube for some videos on hitting draws.

You're basically trying to charge beginners $100 to tell them, oh yeah, go read up on these basic poker concepts and read these books. Info that they can find in 15 minutes searching 2p2.

Come on Yeodan...

i mean i've had multiple coaches, and if any of them answered my questions with "go look it up on run it once" i would've definitely thought i was getting scammed

Seriously get lost ... Your trolling is so annoying!

I'm offering coaching for something I can actually do.
I merely used the pot odds thing as an example on how you could coach without actually being good at something.

There's also a huge difference between:
- Go search on YT and
- Here's a link to an article about pot odds, read that and let me know if you have any questions. Which I would then be able to actually help them with since I actually do understand basic poker concepts, better than you from what I can tell so far.

I even mention that in my coaching post.

If you don't like it, don't get coaching from me, now shut up and leave me alone. I don't want to be your friend.

do you really think there's anybody using 2p2 and is thinking of hiring a poker coach that has never heard of pot odds before?

Lets say you are actually the best poker player here, regardless, the fact that you are offering services professionally, and are shocked that people question your qualifications is extremely suspect.

If I opened a mechanic shop to fix cars, is it reasonable for potential customers to ask for proof I am qualified to do so?

Me doing so does not make me a troll.

Perhaps you are a better poker player than me, as I readily admit that I am not very good, and as such would never offer paid coaching. However, a good coach should not be afraid of being questioned by those worse than them.

I have never attempted to make this personal, you seem like a genuine decent person, but I question your poker skills.

Do you understand the concept of an example?
I actually kinda doubt you understand pot-odds, all I've seen you post so far are troll replies.

If I was insecure about my poker playing ability, I would simply not attempt to charge people money in exchange for insights to my poker playing ability

You're not questioning me because you're interesting in coaching, you just want to annoy me.
Also I've never asked a car mechanic to prove that he can actually fix my car, have you?
