He has a lot of J's in his range(TJ,QJ,JJ,9Js) so even if we hit ten he may make a bigger straight.
Best case for us is to hit 5 but there are no implied odds as it will be easy for him to put us on straight.
9 or 7 may also make us the best hand though it will be very difficult to play the hand if we hit it since we are out of position and we still would not be sure if we are ahead or behind.
only thing working for us is that villain has given us such a good price that it is a +ev call if all of our outs are good(without even counting implied odds).
but overall, i think it is best to just fold.
in position, I may consider calling.
i dont like raisng flop here.
raising as semi bluff should only be done when we think we have high fold equity.
in this hand CO can easily have all the sets, 2 pair , pair plus open ender type hands which he will not fold.
plus MP is also still in the hand(though he looks weak).
semi bluffing is better when:
Heads up, in position(so we have option to take free card on turn is called) and when opponents range is unlikely to have very strong hands.
Would you consider a 7 a clean out here (ie would 2 pair be enough to win)? I would say no since villain could easily have sets / straights / better two pairs
