Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 2 2

fold, Hero raises to 3 BB, CO calls 3 BB, fold, fold, BB calls 2 BB

Flop: (9.5 BB, 3 players) 3 J 2
BB checks, Hero bets 6.8 BB, CO calls 6.8 BB, BB calls 6.8 BB

Turn: (29.9 BB, 3 players) T
BB checks, Hero bets 21.5 BB, fold, fold

Hero wins 28.6 BB


I'm thinking I should of used a smaller size on the turn, 13BB? or checked looking to raise? At the time I was scared of someone hitting a straight on the river and didn't want them to potentially draw for free, is this fear warranted or unlikely to happen?

It's fine.
You could go for xr or smaller sizing otf or a touch bigger ott, but wp overall.

Fold preflop, especially if your standard raise size is 3bb

Postflop I think your bet flop is too big for a J high flop but I could be wrong because of the 2 and the 3. Basically betting 33% or 50% is probably going to be better.

Turn is standard, people don't always have something to call you down
