It's just a coincidence, one strategy is 100% exploit and the other is the opposite.

You can use GTO sims vs Fish in some spots but this isn't one of them.

Saying sim is useless because fish I think is probably not right. There will be some takeaway that can be derived and at least you have a base line to deviate from based on other assumptions.

I think it's an over used cop out like how you see people say oh I did xyz because it's an exploit.

Everything doesn't just go out the window because someone plays too many hands.

Depends on the fish type. Some in turn raise way too wide because of making false interpretations of small bet sizes meaning weakness.

You have like 3 hands on this guy so now we are vastly over folding because of an assumption for pf?
The most important thing to remember about GTO is that it only works vs GTO. Yes we want to find heuristics and patterns etc but you can throw GTO ranges out the window pretty easily

Yeah we ended up against the top of his range but we have to play against the aggregate range.
I wanted to respond to this but I’m not back at my pc until tomorrow

I disagree. It works against any strategy. You do make adjustments based on how you think your opponent is deviating.

My point here is that you have 3 hands of data that largely give insight to their pre flop strategy and now you're recommending a large postflop deviation based off of that.
