I'm playing 10NL.
I have troubles with villains 3betting my blind steals; it happens pretty often and I just don't know what to do.
Well, options are either lowering ATS(40% atm) or... Well, that's only option I see, but I think a lot of people play steals this aggressively and know how to handle that.
Some villains 3bet every second attempt to steal; they play aggressively postflop and, well, I really get mad, and lose a lot of money.
I won't give any certain hands, but say, I rise with K9o , he 3bets, wat do? This comes from LAGs mostly, 22/18; or sometimes from nits like 12/10.
Aw yea, I could change the table, but really, there are a lot of guys like this. I want to know how to handle that.
Have a plan on how you'll respond to aggression before you click the raise button. This will help your thought process without the pressure of the clock ticking.
Don't get frustrated, sometimes, LAG's have hands too.
I would look to BTN steal ~35%, and make it 2.5bb. This way you can call a 3bet in position relatively cheaply with some modest holdings.
Make sure you have easy access on your HUD to 3bet from SB/BB stats. Be prepared to put in a small 4bet (i.e 2.5 x their 3bet) against anyone with 9%+ stats over a sample that includes at least 3 previous re-steals. Remember you only have to 4bet 1 in every 4 3bets to BE/show profit from this move so be prepared to fold the bottom third of your stealing range.
I find that shortstacks are the biggest culprits for this but once you 4bet ship it on them a couple of times (even if you lose) they will think twice about 3betting you light in future.
the answers people have given, in general, are the responses available to you. Always remember to try to pick which response is the best against a particular villain. And if you aren't sure what's best, there's always the fold button.
For example, it's really bad to 4bet bluff someone with a low fold to 4bet.
