Red line in any direction isn't bad. I've seen people with super high redlines breakeven for a long time and super low ones breakeven for a long time. I've seen people with redlines in either direction crush. All each tell me is positive redline ppl manipulate their opponents into folding a lot and negative redline ppl manipulate their opponents into going to showdown a lot.

After ~9k hands moved up from 10NL. After ~18k hands decided me and 25NL don't match and moved up to 50NL (incl a shot at 100NL) lol.

50NL on ipoker. Volume sux due to working and back to final year in college ugh and crappy redline. Gotta improve that. Quick question what do you guys do with your rakeback? Do you put it toward your bankrolls and count it for when your moving up or do you grind until your beating your current level for a decent winrate?

Wow - it depends.

Personally I add it to my bankroll (It's money you should have won if the site didn't rip you off every pot). You don't need to be beating your current level by a huge winrate to be properly rolled for the next one, but you need to be able to beat the level you're going to be playing otherwise you can never be rolled for it.

in other words: play to your skill-level first, your bankroll second. If you have a $10,000 roll and can't beat 10NL, then you should play 5NL.

You can see where I moved to new apartment and struggled to win a pot at showdown.

Worst month of the year poker wise. Best month of the year life wise.

I apologize, but I gotta post 2 graphs. I started working with a guy that's way better than me on the 4th, and poker just kinda started making sense around the 10th. So, in the spirit of the thread, I gotta post my monthly. But in the spirit of I want to brag, I must post 10th onward I decided to see what I could do with my redline on the 22nd, but I'll spare everyone and not stick in a 3rd graph--you can see my baby steps as a +redline player though. Moved up to 50NL on the 30th, everything else is 20NL.

Just got HEM, so this is from SharpStats. Sadly, BB=bb, not ptbb

The one with the sexier winrate. Poker's an easy game when you can sponge knowledge of smarter players than yaself.

+$200 Rake Race bonus, +$579 rakeback, +$260 from Cake for rake glitch = +$2259 @ 20NL for the month. Hello 50NL, I'm here for da monies I'm so full of **** and probably on a heater

im confused why everyone is always so obsessed with redline... im a pretty big redline loser but that isnt terrible for my style of play... sure im working on ways to improve on winning more at non-showdown to increase my winrate but the style i play leads to big winnings at showdown... and i know for a fact that i am one of the biggest winners at 50nl on stars

Well, hourly is/should be king obviously. I think the redline hangup is just a gunslinger mentality. If I have to choose between a sick redline and sick winrate, I suppose I'll suck it up and pick the sick winrate. But there's something fun, in a primal way, about looking at your graph and seeing that upwardly sloping redline, since it means you're not only winning, but railroading villains in the meantime. Of course, if redlines become all the rage, then I guess it becomes more optimal to adopt an exploitative style focusing on a nice greenline.

This isn't it at all. The point is that improving your redline improves your overall winrate. If I keep my showdown winnings the same, but start picking up a bunch of pots that I normally give up on, then I win more overall.
